Exactly what we needed as our home base for kayaking. Plenty of room, loads of beds. We don’t get to enjoy the yard as the weather turned, but the fire pit is appreciated!I would recommend an upgrade on some pillows, and some more bathroom hooks, just for a slightly better experience.
This is an older home but with many updates. Would have been a tight fit for 8 people, but was an excellent base camp for us while exploring the area. Host was responsive and helpful.
It fit our needs for coming to Balsam Lake. It was clean and comfortable sleeping.

Property was not the picture/house as shown in the booking which was misleading. Amenities were accurate but not nice or functioning: for example, water faucet didn’t work in shower, only one stove burner worked. Insects within bedrooms including bees and my children were allergic. Not impressive at all, overpriced. Town/environment seemed safe, though.
While this may be more fun with a larger group in the summer, to split the overall cost and take advantage of the outside fire pit, my husband and I were not very happy with the overall experience in late October for the price of over $500 total (with fees and insurance) for only two nights for two adults ... The house is quaint and decorated (paint, furniture, linens) nicely on the inside but it is clearly older (sagging porch gate, dip in kitchen floor, weird musty smell throughout) and too 'tight' in a few places (one and only bathroom, staircase ... couldn't even open one kitchen drawer with some complimentary toiletries as it hits the dishwasher). Furthermore, because it has sheer curtains on the living room windows (off the main road) and no cover curtain or blind on the main entry door with a huge glass windowpane (which is on the back of the house where no one else can easily see), I myself didn't feel comfortable sleeping upstairs (as someone could come to the glass door, see no one in the kitchen / living area there on the bottom floor, simply break the glass to get it). Bottom line: I was hopeful for a reasonably decent experience but it just didn't quite live up to that.

We have put a curtain on the entry door window.
We have put a couple more curtains on the living room window. The bathroom area is pretty small but the plus is that it has the full bathtub which I always love.
We run a dehumidifier and air purifier in the home now sometimes constantly and other times of year as needed.
The kitchen drawer does open but not when the dishwasher is cracked so you have to just figure that out I guess as most guests do.
Property is exactly as described on VRBO site. Was clean and had Ample towels, blankets and kitchen supplies. Very easy check-in and checkout. Look forward to staying here again.
Absolutely wonderful and comfy house . Stayed here for a couple of days in March and excited to come back for a summer vacation. Tareh is wonder. Love it and highly recommend

Leonel was a wonderful guest; a true pleasure to work with. We are looking forward to hosting him anytime! :0)
The only thing I would add is towel rack in the bathroom. When you wash your hands in the bathroom there is no towel available to dry your hands. Ok and maybe a ceiling fan in the bedroom.

The house was very clean and cozy. Nice outside area.
Very clean little house. Well stocked kitchen that we just used for breakfast. We used the place to sleep otherwise we were out and about. It’s on a main road and had occasional traffic noise at night The driveway up to the house is short and steep and not good for a low ground clearance car. There is parking in back of the garage through the alley. Didn’t like that the one small bathroom is downstairs by back door and bedrooms are upstairs. Had a pluming issue in the bathroom that I communicated to the Host about and hope they fix for the next guest. Overall it served our needs and was a good place to stay.

Beautiful Balsam Lake
The cost for 4 nights was very reasonable. Tareh responded to any questions I had in a very timely manner. The house was basically comfortable, but I think the living room could use a comfortable chair such as a recliner.

Clean and well equipped,
No bathroom on the 2nd floor
We found this rental to accommodate a few of us for a bachelorette party. It was perfect! Enough room for all to sleep. House was clean and cute! Host was quick to respond. Would recommend!
My husband and I treated his youngest sister to a 4-day weekend as many of her activities are still canceled due to COViD-19. We were able to keep her care routine the same while making new memories and experiences for her. The house was clean, comfortable, and we enjoyed the walks to close by restaurants. We would stay here again if we have the opportunity to revisit the area.
This house was perfect for our needs for a short stay. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Nice to have more room than at a motel. Hosts were professional, friendly, and accommodating.
