Very well maintained, with everything we needed to host a bridal Shower. We also used this property for relatives that came to Huntsville for a wedding. Very nice place to relax. Rest, and get ready for activities for the wedding. The rooms are well placed so quests didn't bother each other. The downstairs had games and activities for younger guests. 3 floors to spread out and enjoy our stay. The view is admazing!!! Spencer is the most gracious host.
Perfect cabin for a large family or group of friends
Perfect location close to Snowbasin. Such a cool cabin with everything you could ever want. We loved the living room, the decor and the hot tub. Cooking in the big kitchen each night was a highlight. Each room is unique and cozy. We look forward to coming back!
Had a great stay. House is filled with cool antiques everywhere. Perfect for a big group. Lots of different places to spread out and enjoy. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and half the food stuff that you forget! It's a cool vibe and only a few minutes from Snow Basin or the lake if it's summer time. How was responsive.
Incredible log home with easy access to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Beautiful view of Pineview Reservoir and surrounding Mountains. 45 minutes from SLC Airport. The owner is responsive and fixes any problems immediately. Nothing like sitting next to the wood fireplace or sitting in the hot tub looking out over the mountains after a long day of skiing. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay here! There was more space than we were expecting and the cabin was decorated BEAUTIFULLY. You can tell the owners put a lot of care into making it cozy and inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, baking implements - we weren’t wanting for anything during our stay!
First time to the area for our annual ski trip which typically consisnts of 6-8 adults (male). The house is in close proximity to Snowbasin and just up the hill...maybe 12 minutes to the parking lot. Overall the personality and feel of the house is very cool, rustic and clean. The beds and sleeping arrangements we comfortable. The jacuzzi was clean and everything was in working order. The bathrooms could be in better shape and more upgraded to include simple things like new/clean bath mats and soap. Overall I'd give this 4.5 stars if I was able to do so.
We really enjoyed our stay. 4 couples and 2 kids fit nicely, with everyone having their own space. Communication with the property owner was great, especially when there was an issue with the A/C. Highly recommend!
House was perfect for our large family. Spencer was a great host and easy to communicate with. We hope to come back and stay again.

Beautiful home and location. House was not maintained/cleaned properly and could be improved. Additionally better locks on house to feel more secure and windows need curtains. Would be helpful to have instructions for the tv, hot tub, trash pickup as well. We did have a good stay and will recommend for others to stay there.
The place are very interesting, cosy and warm, maintained well. Host respond very fast, and manage to help when he can. As for about location it is very close to Snowbasin, just 10-12 minutes drive, and not far from Powder Mountain. The only thing to pay attention to, is internet connectivity, we had total 15 devices and internet speed was not higher then 50 Mbit, also disconnects happened from time to time, however if you do not need to work, it is good enough.
Great log cabin near snowbasin - room for improvement
The log cabin was beautiful and located in a convenient spot for our family of 12 to ski Snowbasin. The parking was good and the home and bedrooms were good sized and the log cabin vibe with the large fireplace was really nice. The lower level where some of our kids stayed seemed outdated and looked a bit rundown. Many of the bedrooms did not have closets. The sheets and pillows and comforters seemed old and outdated. Many of them did not fit the beds. The kitchen was great for family cooking and was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, but many of the dishes seemed dirty, and we had to rewash them before we used them. We had to run a an extension cord to plug in the television because the outlet didn’t work and the icemaker was broken, but the host had bags of ice delivered. The hot tub was nice and had an incredible view. As you can tell, overall, I am mixed on this home. It had lots of good features, a great log cabin feel,a nice view, and a convenient location, but definitely did not feel upscale.
Luxury Cabin w/amazing views - perfect for family reunions
An unexpected 3-row display of colorful cowboy boots greeted us upon entering, followed by a super high vaulted ceiling above the living room, functional fireplace, and comfortable first class furniture. The huge open dining room and kitchen with top flight appliances got a good workout with our 2 adult chef sons making delicious gourmet meals. The A/C was a welcome feature during the 90+ degree July days and warm nights. Most meals were eaten on the huge East facing deck overlooking Pineview Reservoir. A large gas grill AND charcoal grill are on the deck where we grilled meats and roasted corn & chickens. Comfortable beds for our 6 teen grandkids downstairs with pool and ping-pong,TV, games and another huge deck plus several bathrooms. Main floor master bedroom had a huge private bath/shower, separate private deck and comfortable king bed with expensive linens. All upstairs bedrooms were comfy, one of which also has a deck.
Activities included rental of a huge pontoon power boat, knee board, life jackets and a 3-person tube for 4 hours of high speed fun on the reservoir. Another day we all biked along one side of the reservoir and enjoyed a fun meal at a Mexican restaurant. In the garage were several tubes, stand up paddle boards, fold up chairs, shade tent, etc. which we were free to use on the beach for another fun afternoon. I see why many guests rent during wintertime - with the ski resort so close. We highly recommend this amazing cabin. Well worth renting!
This is a great location for outdoor fun in the Snowbasin/Powder Mountain valley. Very convenient to SLC airport, Ogden, and skiing. The house is very spacious and laid out well. The views are amazing. The house has everything you need in the baths and kitchen. The beds were comfortable with nice towels for the shower and hot tub. The hot tub size was nice but the cleanliness was questionable. You could tell it wasn't cleaned properly, if at all, between rentals. The garage could use a little cleaning up and sweeping but it is a garage. Other than that, we'd come back and stay here again. It was a great rental and communication was responsive and timely via the VRBO app.
The house is really spacious and well appointed, plenty of room for three generations of skiers. All the beds were comfy and it was super easy to get to Snow Basin.
We booked this home for the holidays and were thrilled with the property. From a nicely stocked kitchen, including spices in the cupboards, to the game room, to the video setups, all of our celebrating needs were met. Huntsville is a lovely little town with skiing and hiking nearby -- make sure to stop at the Shooting Star Saloon which has historical significance. The owners were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to bring our three dogs and even leaving filled water bowls in the hall. thank you!!
We enjoyed the home even if we didn't take full advantage of it. A couple of comments we want to leave are some summer blankets would be nice the comforter bed covers were to warm, and possibly boxes of facial tissue. All in all we give you a very good
From the dogs to the grandkids to the adult children to the grandparents, this house was perfect. Beds are comfortable and house is well stocked with everything you need. And the check-out process was “just lock the door” which was a welcomed note since it feels like more and more VRBOs have quite a bit they expect the guests to do (which sometimes makes it hard to not just want to go to a hotel). Highly recommend!
It was a great property to allow our family to have spaces to be together and also have some private space when we wanted some quiet time. It was well equipped and clean. There are some minor items of deferred maintenance that didn’t cause any problems but that were unexpected for this type of property
Overall this was a nice rental and we had a good vacation. We would consider coming back again but would compare nearby properties first. The beds were comfortable, despite one being broken. The basement has fun games for families and kids to enjoy. There was laundry and plenty of kitchen and deck space for our party of 12 to enjoy. With that said, here are some things to note:
1) We are in the middle of a pandemic, and there were two people in the home when we arrived (minus showing up nearly 40 minutes after our check-in time). They were cleaning the property and proceeded to be in the home for several hours after we arrived (and not wearing masks). Fridge, bedrooms, etc. not ready for unloading; dishes on the counter and in the sink; laundry going… They came back late that evening still unmasked to drop off toilet paper and soap. We had 6 children under the age of 7 in the house, so their unmasked presence was not appreciated. We tried to stay cordial, and I will give one star despite this, as the woman was extremely pleasant and even picked up some staple items for us that we forgot. I would rate her 5-stars as we aren’t fussy people and wouldn’t have minded this inconvenience if not for COVID. I suggest homeowners take that into account moving forward.
2) The house was HOT. It is an air conditioned home, but we could not get the upper level to drop below 80 degrees. (3 bedrooms on this level). And yes, we tried keeping shades drawn, doors opened and then doors closed. The basement was pleasant.
3) The property does not have a manicured grassy area as shown in photos and in description. I get that Utah is in a drought (we are from the West too). Would have appreciated at minimum some mowing back/trimming of the natural landscape to accommodate kids playing in yard.
4) The trash was full and stinky when we arrived. We could not park in the garage to get vehicles out of the heat. We had to ask the neighbors when trash day was, and put it out ourselves. (We did ask the person who was cleaning the home, but she didn’t know.)
5) The home is located near a beautiful lake. It would be nice if the home offered camp chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, towels, etc. for use. We asked ahead of time, so we knew what we were getting into. Luckily, we drove over and were able to bring our own items. **The lake is quite a steep walk across burning sand from the parking area—so plan ahead for that.
Overall, would still recommend property.
