Peaceful Mountain Retreat

We had a wonderful week at Chalet la Chandelle! The chalet is a beautifully designed retreat - comfortable, tastefully decorated and homely. We especially enjoyed the peaceful setting with many amazing walks straight from the door which get close to the glacier. Our children (19, 17, 14) didn't even notice the lack of TV and we spent the evenings playing games, toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, talking and reading. The hot tub was great once we got the fire going and we were able to star gaze for the Perseids meteor shower - unforgettable! We very much hope to return…

Luxe, calme et volupté

"La Chandelle" est un lieu unique, nichée au fond du très joli hameau de Bionnassay, à l'écart de la route. Vous y parvenez par une route de montagne, (certes étroite, mais qui ne pose pas de difficulté), à 10 mn de St Gervais les Bains. Emmanuelle est une hôte charmante, à l'écoute qui vous donnera de précieux conseils. Le chalet a été superbement rénové et décoré avec goût. Vous y trouverez tout le luxe nécessaire. La cuisine est très bien équipée et la literie particulièrement confortable. Nous avons trouvé le chalet dans un état de propreté irréprochable. Nous n'avons pas eu besoin de prendre la voiture durant notre séjour, car un grand nombre de randonnées peuvent se faire du chalet. Vous pouvez rejoindre, après 45 mn de marche, le TMB qui vous montera au nid d'aigle. Mais, ce qui a rendu notre séjour unique, c'est la vue à couper le souffle du chalet sur la massif du Mont-Blanc. Le soir, le coucher du soleil fait prendre au refuge du Goûter et l'Aiguille de Bionnassay une couleur orangée de toute beauté (ce que nous avons pu admiré du bain nordique). Une adresse exceptionnelle qui nous a enchantée ma famille et moi ! Merci Emmanuelle !

un chalet exceptionnel

Très beaux volumes inondés de lumière, vue à couper le souffle, décoration raffinée... Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les départs de randonnées depuis le chalet, la communication fluide avec les hôtes, l'agencement très bien pensé pour tous. Le séjour a ravi les petits comme les grands (nous étions avec deux enfants de 10 et 13 ans). Nous recommandons chaudement ce magnifique chalet!

Ein chalet der extra Klasse

unser Aufenthalt im chalet von Emmanuelle war fantastisch. Die ganze Entwicklung: Check in Check out, Kommunikation verlief reibungslos und absolut perfekt. Der Chalet ist großartig, perfekt, mit viel Luxus und mit sehr viel Geschmack eingerichet, der Blick auf die Berge ist atemberaubend. Die Gegend bietet fantastische Bergtouren, durchaus auch im hohen Gebirge als "Bergsteiger". Ich kann mit gut vorstellen, dass es dort im Winter auch wunderbar ist, und den perfekten Ski Urlaub anbietet. Kurz und gut, es ist der perfekte Ort und die perfekte Unterkunft, um die Natur zu genießen, sich vom Alltag zu erholen und abzuschalten. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen.
