The Rathbone Mansions are two stately antebellum mansions along Esplanade Avenue bordering the French Quarter. We offer our guests warm southern hospitality and authentic New Orleans atmosphere. The Mansion at 1244 Esplanade features a pool and hot tub, available to guests at either Mansion. The Mansion at 1227 Esplanade has a beautiful garden with comfortable seating to take in the lush surroundings. The Mansions are located diagonally across the street from one another, about 100 steps apart.
Enjoy watching life go by on stately Esplanade Avenue from the large front porch featured at both properties. We look forward to welcoming you and making your New Orleans visit everything you expect it to be.
The Mardi Gras Suite is perfect for groups looking to enjoy the best of New Orleans charm! With a large private balcony overlooking treelined Esplanade Avenue, the Mardi Gras Suite has one king bed and, in another bedroom, two queen beds and can accommodate 6 people comfortably. Featuring a large living space with 2 sofas and a seating area for 6 people, the Mardi Gras Suite has memory foam mattresses, TVs, microwave and mini fridge. Toiletries by Beekman 1802, coffee makers, hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided in all rooms. With access to the pool and hot tub, the Mardi Gras Suite is perfect for your group to experience New Orleans at its finest. Continental breakfast and high speed wireless internet are included.
**Please note: Many of our rooms are accessible by staircase. There is no elevator in either Mansion and we do not have staff to assist with luggage.**
