Area of beauty be prepared to travel for food but the country scenery is worth it. Property owners communication about local fireworks was nice. Get to pool early or very late since travelers are many on 4th of July. The locals were very friendly. Almost ran out of toilet paper and forgot plastic ware. Nice place, comfy bed, huge TV, just needs touch up paint in bathroom.

I was expecting the typical hotel room but when I arrived I was more than pleasantly surprised. The room is neat, tidy and clean. Extra sheets and towels, plenty of apps on the tv to use, Keurig, coffee pot, toaster and toaster oven, microwave and refrigerator. The area is breathtaking! Charles was friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about it!

Fantastic stay for a really reasonable price! Owner communication was outstanding, and he was very responsive when a tiny thing happened (blow dryer didn't work). He jumped right in and delivered two more blowdryers very quickly to make sure I had what I needed. Bed was cozy and comfy. Great place to stay for a single or couple for a few days. Small, but has all the things you need like toaster, coffee, fridge. The only drawback would be the grounds are SO dark and I couldn't find an address anywhere driving in at night. I had to check address on some mail in the lobby to see if I had the right location. :). I will definitely be back!! Thank you for a great stay!
We stayed off-season and enjoyed the peace and quiet, even with many of the rooms occupied. Our room was clean at eye level but definitely needed a proper cleaning. The foyer, hall/stairwell, common room, and public bathroom were pretty rough (especially the bathroom). I don't think the owner of this room is responsible for the property (but I'm guessing on that). When I finally complained, someone ran the vacuum in the foyer and common room. The bathroom remained uncleaned. All in all, nice place to stay but it is not maintained for guests.
Mr Rockwell went above and beyond to accommodate my wife and I on a last minute staycation. It was just what we needed. Cozy room, great pool and lots of nature to take in.
Great property. Spent most of the time inside, though.
Here in the summer. Basically a hotel room/studio which I think surprised my girlfriend a bit more than me, but that's all we needed. Quiet, but visited during the week. Worth the price.
I totally meant to try the pool, but I didn't. Looked nice and saw a family using it more than once, though. I did however get out to a nearby hiking trail and a local restaurant (if 20 minutes is local), but most of the time, I was just decompressing from life, tucked in and chilling. Great property for chilling.
We just went on a whim and was pleasantly pleased with everything. Right next to and easy access to white tail slopes. (Which is not what we went for) Everything was within 20 minutes but still pretty secluded. Charlie was fantastic quick to respond and answer all my questions. Gave some great ideas of things to do and places to eat. Wonderful host. Very pleased for the price we paid. I will definitely recommend.

Property was very clean and convenient to ski slopes.
Was looking for a place to stay close to Whitetail. I happened upon this gem in my research. I had some questions about the room, etc. Charles was incredibly prompt about any questions I had. Posted new pics of the room (he had just finished renovating it). We could not be happier. Just a wonderful experience all around. GREAT location to Whitetail. Just a short walk up the path to the slopes. Beautiful job on the room renovation. Huge bed. A twin sized sofa bed. Large chest of drawers with a huge television (happy kids). There is a desk with a keurig. Small fridge. A fantastic little shelving unit to help keep a family organized. Everything was fresh and clean and well set up. Just A+ all around. Couldn't be happier. Will be staying here again for certain. Thanks for a great stay!
