Mark, the host was very welcoming, responsive and very helpful prior to and during our stay. The property and amenities were as noted and everything was clearly laid out in the property information package. A great location for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore more of this part of Florida. It made for the perfect family gathering with the only issue being that our stay was too short !!Thank you for your kind hospitality !CJ

5-Stars for Chris and Family, who had a great plan to make the game and relax at the coast, and was our pleasure to host, welcome back again soon!
This is such agreat vacation home for families with children! Our kids had such a blast! The home was so clean, and convenient to everything-- especially the gulf! So many amenities at the house we hardly left unless we were on a boat. A 10 out of 10, by far, and will DEFINITELY be back!

Thank you Chris, for the 5-Stars and the complementary review! You are very welcome, and we are glad you enjoyed the Oyster Bay House. You were 5-Star guest and thank you for taking good care of the home. We hope to see you again soon :)
This older coastal home was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I. We enjoyed the quiet peaceful atmosphere. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the nature all around us. We decided this is definitely going to be a new tradition for the holidays and would love to go back to this beautiful place.
Wonderful home to enjoy time on the water with friends and family. If Destin and Rosemary Beach just make you sad for the old days of Florida when there were living creatures all around and the night sky was magical, this is the place for you. So many birds- osprey around lots. Saw tons of dolphins. Water super clear for snorkeling and saw crabs, starfish, many kinds of fish and found enough scallops one night for tasty dinner. Comfy beds, serviceable kitchen, nice assortment of outdoor spaces so shade and sun seekers can find a good spot. Nice yard and walking space for our dog. TV and Wifi work great so no football was missed. Tricky to get through the cut to the shallow bay that leads to the canal but once you figure out the right path then water plenty deep to get boat in and out even at low tide.

We were evacuated for Milton, so huddled in place. All amenities worked as needed. We would rent again as this location is quiet and accessible.
Perfect place to stay. Can relax right at the house with lots of games to play and porches to relax. Or just a quick ride over to the beach and loading ramps.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at the Oyster Bay House- thank you Mark!
We stayed for 5 night while visiting our son at FSU, while it is a 40 minute ride from FSU it was totally worth it. We had an opportunity to relax and truly enjoy our time in Tallahassee. We would definitely come back. The owner is super accommodating and it was a pleasure to rent from him thru VRBO.

thank you carmen and family for being our guest at the Oyster Bay House. it was a pleasure to meet you, and come back again soon!
Glad you enjoyed your stay with family, Driveway was big enough to accommodate large RV and you were able to use the parking accross the street for your boat trailer. You're welcome back anytime!
There was way more to do in this town than we expected--if you like the outdoors. It was a nice open house with a local area to convene in at the end of the day and watch a show. Property owners nice, informative, and low key.

we're glad you had a great time at the OysterBay House, and found the docks and kayaks/canoes fun, you're welcome back anytime!
This property is great for a family! The game room was fun for our kids ages 5-9 and adults too. We enjoyed the fire pit and fishing off the dock. We caught a few whiting. It is great because you don't feel obligated to keep everything clean or perfect. It feels lived in which is great for big families.

Lauren and family were great guests and they took good care of the house, and are welcome back anytime. We appreciate all your suggestions, thank you!
Only way this house didn't meet the description, is that it was WAY bigger and more spacious than we thought. Had a great time, house was very clean. Owner had very detailed instructions and suggestions for us, which are very important due to the remote nature of the community this house is in. Very peaceful and a wonderful slice of "old Florida"

glad Joe and wife and friends had a great celebration together at the OysterBay House. nice to meet them all, and come back again soon
The house and location were ideal for our large blended family. Enough room for our five kids to spread out and plenty to keep them occupied. Plus, the master suite was a nice sanctuary for me and my husband. I spent time each morning reading on the screened porch off the master - so peaceful! Definitely recommend this house!

thank you for the 5-star review for Oyster Bay House, you guys were great guests, and glad you had a great time, come back soon!
Do rent IF: you like old Florida, great local restaurants, fishing, FSU football, boating (powered, canoe, and kayaks), plenty of space, reasonably well-supplied kitchen, and a common sense price.
Do NOT rent IF: you are going for sandy beaches on blue water, like 20 something night life, like touristy areas and convenient shopping for souvenirs.
We had a great time, spent an entire weekend fishing and enjoying the area (we'll retire here). Note that the house is very serviceable and a great place to hang your hat, it is not opulent or fancy but it is clean and enjoyable.
GREAT VALUE!
