Extremely Rustic
Unfortunately we happened to stay when there was a wind storm in the county so we lost power, water and heat for the night. We texted the host to check on candles and/or flashlights but were told to “just use our phones”. (Not really an option when you’ve been traveling all day and phones are almost dead). The cottage is very rustic and not quite as comfortable as the pictures make it out to be. The bed is extremely firm so be aware if you have bad hips or back. There’s also glade plug ins in the bedroom and kitchen - so if you’re sensitive to chemical smells, I’d recommend unplugging and airing out the cabin upon arrival. After the initial blasé response from the owner, we decided to head home instead. We had hoped for a cozy, comfortable, peaceful night away from home - but ended up wasting a LOT of money.

Perfect little getaway!
This place was cozy, comfortable and pet friendly. We enjoyed the remote feel with the proximity to restaurants, hiking, and other activities. We would love to come and stay again!

Lovely Getaway
We had a great night here. The cabin in very atmospheric, you will feel transported to another time and place! A little tricky to navigate the drive up with the dirt trails, but we figured it out.

This place is magical. Everything was perfect. Amazing, relaxing, quiet, private.
Our experience was perfect. We hope to return. We hiked, relaxed in the sunshine by the fire pit. :)

Charming and quiet!
We had a wonderful stay at this quaint cottage! One of the first things we noticed stepping out of the car is how quiet the location is (we live in DC). If possible, the main floor is even more stunning than the pictures! The host was incredibly responsive to any query that we had. It's a great location to go hiking and then grab a drink at a local brewery or vineyard!
