Thank you for opening your home to our family. We didn't feel the need to even leave the house - between the pool area and the back porch, it was just too relaxing to go anywhere else.
My first time at this property was amazing 3 yrs ago we all loved it .thats y i rented it again everything's great i will be back again.the host is absolutely amazing
Nice, clean & quiet place to stay. Great pool and outdoor area for relaxing. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions and even provided ideas on things to do in the area when we had rainy days that ruined our outdoor plans.
The overall experience with comfort and room for a working family was top notch. We stay away from home for work 10-11 months out of the year and this property accomodated us all in comfort and space. By far, this is one of our favorites through many years of travel. The hosts were extremely informative and pleasant to converse with before and during our stay.
Beautiful setting, quiet neighborhood, peaceful walking streets, cute coffee shop within walking distance. Denise leaves a welcome letter sharing the local food and attractions which is great. The pizza spot was delicious, the local Seafood and raw bar was beautiful, welcoming and relaxing on the river. 15 and 30 min drive to quiet and tranquil beaches locally. Not far from bigger towns and Williamsburg.
The house had the perfect kitchen, great room, screen porch and terrace for me and my siblings to spend a weekend together during a larger family reunion. The owner provided clear and timely instructions for arrival and departure. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. The house and yard are well maintained and we loved having a dip in the pool! Plenty of off-street parking.
Denise was amazing she goes above and beyond with communicating. The house is beautiful. We really LOVED the pool. The neighborhood is great and the privacy was just what we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Denise for sharing your home for other families to make a wonderful memories!
The house was clean, and just as advertised. The outdoor living space was amazing and we spent most of our time outside between the pool, the outdoor grill/bar and the screened in porch. And the front lawn was awesome for the kids to run and play and get their energy out.
Denise, the hostess, was very helpful and communicative when small issues arose (all that were out of her control).
We loved our stay!

Thank you for taking such great care of our home Kristen. I'm glad you all enjoyed your stay.
We were so happy with this rental. The house was beautifully maintained. The outdoor patio was even better than expected. We barely left the pool… except for our fishing adventure with Capt. Wes. Other amenities, particularly the wired outdoor audio and the stable WiFi (we did have a teenager with us after all), truly completed the experience.

Thank you for taking wonderful care of our home! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I'm also happy to hear you had a fun trip with Wesley! We hope you visit again!
We had a wonderful week at this lovely home. I can’t say enough about the home and the quaint little town. I want to move here. We felt safe in the area which is always a concern when you have children. I was able to let them ride their bikes and enjoy the waterfront. The home was spacious, clean, welcoming, and comfortable. I am grateful this precious family has allowed others to share in the experience of Deltaville. I hope to return soon.
Thank you for letting us stay!

Family Vacation
Deltaville was a quiet and quaint little town. Not super friendly for tourists. Without having a boat we were extremely limited on activities. Virginia Beach is over an 1.5 hrs away. The house was very nice and pool was amazing! We spent most days swimming! We just had a hard time keeping the teenagers occupied with activities as there is not a whole lot to do around town and not a close beach in the area! The homeowners were extremely responsive and attentive to any questions or concerns that we had during our stay!

Amy, I'm so glad you were happy with our home! I wish you would have reached out for recommendations! I could have steered you to some activities for the teens!
This house is an absolutely wonderful house on a beautiful piece of property with a fantastic outdoor space. My sister’s family and mine meet up each summer in different east coast towns. Unfortunately, Deltaville had very little for us to experience. Most of the shops had odd schedules and some never opened in the entire week we were there. We had to drive an out to get to Williamsburg to find activities for the kids. We had great communication with the owners, unfortunately however, the property has an ant problem. We found ants everywhere in the house from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the living area. We had to be very careful how we stored our food. Because this was something that could not be remedied quickly, we did not bring it up to the owners. It was also noted in other reviews, so we knew this was an ongoing problem. Additionally, I would’ve liked to have known prior to renting the property that we would be required to take our trash out to the dumps before leaving as there is no trash service at the property. This altered our ability to leave the property in a timely manner to travel home as we had to wait for the dumps to open at 9am. And unfortunately, they were 20 minutes late opening that day. Overall it’s a beautiful home but the ant problem needs to be addressed.
The house was awesome, and fun. We stayed for 7 days, 9 people (including children) if u have children beware. we were notified by the owner that we left the house in such a big mess which we didn’t..we took pictures before and after. Just in case something like this happened… of course kids are going to have crumbs and be messy as kids do however in our last day we did everything her instructions said to do she later notified me and told me the house was the most messiest she has ever seen. We went grocery shopping because we were there for 7 days but our food was infested with ants every where and great value isn’t a cheap grocery store and the the jacuzzi tub was NOT clean and shower curtain was moldy but you know it’s a nice house so we cleaned and killed ants ourselves… when we checked out the owner notified us with pictures of where a baiting suit was laid and left a water mark and chocolate milk was spilled on the carpet we have kids accidents happen but the way she made me and my family feel like we were disgusting and I can’t help to feel it was because half our family was black and half was white.. may not be the case but I can’t help to feel that way because of the area we were in.. you may ask how did she know what color we were?? Well her husband had to come over and get the propane tank because we were cooking in the grill the night before and we ran out of propane so we had to take all the food off and move to the kitchen… needless to say if u are going to be this picky of your family home you should not rent it out on Vrbo. We rent homes every year for family vacation and have NEVER made to feel like this everything tht she pointed out could have been clean with soap and water the chocolate milk tht was spilled was by my autistic nephew and was cleaned.. house was amazing and we did enjoy the pool just didn’t enjoy how unpleasant she was so rent at your own risk, especially with children.

Hello Jessica,
I quite enjoyed our communications during your week in our home. We communicated delightfully after my husband visited to help you all with the propane tank. My concern arose when I came to the home to clean it for our next guests who were arriving the same day. The home typically takes 3 hours to clean however on this day it took 7. I also had to have a carpet cleaning company come that very day to clean all of the carpets as they all had new stains. My mistake was communicating with you to find out what the stain was in the blue bunk room. I was concerned that it looked and smelled like a large urine stain. You let me know it was chocolate milk. In addition to the carpet stains there was a clearly a bowl of ramen spilt down a wall, and upholstered stool ruined with a wet bathing suite, cheesy hand prints all over the walls throughout out the home. I ask that sheets are removed from the beds upon departure however every sham and quilt and extra blanket were all piled into the laundry room with wet towels that resulted in 7 hours of laundry before the home was ready for the next guests. What was very upsetting was finding actual crab shells on the bedroom floors. Our pool cleaner mentioned that there were well over the allowed 10 people allowed in the pool when he came to clean and the valves had been moved and left in way that could burn up the pool pump resulting in thousands of dollars in replacement. Perhaps we are picky about the way our home is treated but we have had 25 different guests mostly with children and haven't had a single issue until this visit. Again, I absolutely enjoyed our communication throughout the week and am sorry that it ended the way that it did. It was clear to me that you had only good intentions but the home was a true challenge and I was there an hour into my next renters checkin time.
Warm regards,
Denise
This is a beautiful property that clearly the owners built for themselves to enjoy and renters are lucky to have it available for them to enjoy as well. Virtually every amenity is provided and it would suit a larger group particularly as there are so many different areas where people can either hang out together or apart.
Everything was clean and comfortable and the property also now has Wi-Fi which was a bonus - there was a small issue with connectivity at the beginning of our stay but the owner very promptly got this resolved. I feel that the owner would be very quick to deal with any issues or questions if they arose.
The highlight of the property is the outdoor cabana area, which is glorious, providing a nice shade when it’s needed! Plus of course the outdoor grilling area and refrigerator- the grill does awesome steaks by the way! The pool is great too and much appreciated on a hot day.
The area around the property is quiet and relaxing - there are a few places to eat but be aware that some of these are not open every day, so another reason why the grill is so handy - the local grocery store 5 minutes from the property has everything you’ll need.
Further afield, Richmond is a lovely place to visit, as are Williamsburg and Jamestown - all about an hours drive. The Jamestown Settlement is definitely recommended.
All in all, I’d happily recommend this property to anyone, and want to thank Denise for being such a great host!
This place is as advertised! The pool and outside patios were perfect for our family birthday celebration! Plenty of room for us all to sleep. Highly recommend!
