About this property
Charming 4/2 Travis Heights Austin (~SoCo~) Monthly Long Term Furnished Rental
This wonderful house overlooks Stacey Park and is located in the coveted Travis Heights neighborhood of Austin.
Great Location!
Award-winning restaurants and excellent shopping are just a five-minute walk away to South Congress Ave. (SoCo). Downtown is minutes away, where shopping, nightlife, and cultural events await!
We regularly walk to Riverside to Lady Bird Lake and walk along the river trails. The kids love to watch for trains on the bridge and also love going to see the dogs play all along the park. You don't have to have a car at all as you are not far from some of the best fun in Austin; though, that said, a car, bike or cab might be nice on the hotter days.
Walk out the front door and you will find a peaceful Stacey Park with excellent walking/running paths along Bouldin Creek. Walk the path a few minutes to the right and you will find beautiful Stacey Pool (open year-round/spring fed) great year-round for lap swimming and kiddo fun in the summer. Walk a few minutes to the left and you will find a large park and children's playground with picnic tables and outdoor grills. There is a shaded fenced in pool for small children (summer months only) and 2 refinished tennis courts (with lighting till 10 PM).
Furnishings
The house decor is smart, comfortable, and simple. There are beautiful hardwood floors downstairs, Mexican tile in the kitchen and Berber carpet upstairs.
All bed linens are 600 thread count.
Upstairs
Upstairs you will find the Master bedroom (king bed) and a small bedroom (queen bed). The upstairs is one of my favorite spots in the house. It is pretty and bright; the hallway has 2 comfortable club chairs for reading and relaxing. Our children love to play in this area. We do require that young children are supervised at all time upstairs due to the loft overhang and the stairs
The master bedroom features a wonderfully comfortable California king size bed, an en suite bath with two sinks, a large shower, and a whirlpool tub.
The small bedroom features a comfortable queen bed. This small room is one of my favorite places to sleep.
Downstairs
The downstairs front part of the house has a small living room, 2 bedrooms with comfortable Queens size beds and a full bath. The bedrooms and bath are located off of a short hallway that can be closed off at night or in the morning for privacy or quiet.
Also downstairs is the spacious and well-equipped galley kitchen with its adjacent dining area. It is nice and open and is perfect for dinner with friends and family. The kitchen table has 2 leaves that expand to seat 8-10 comfortably. When my whole family is visiting, we pull in the small oval table from one of the sunrooms and place it on the end so that we can all eat together.
The Kitchen dining area opens onto the larger Sun Room which we use as the main living room. It is a great room for hanging out and visiting or watching TV (Large Flat screen with full cable). This room is wide so it is really 2 rooms in one. We have it decorated so that the side without the TV lends itself to game/card playing or reading etc. The couches are large and comfortable and there are many chairs for larger groups.
The back wall of the sunroom has 6 large windows that look out on one of the nicest features of the house; the beautiful back deck. It is a wonderful place to relax or eat/drink in the shade of the gorgeous very old live oak.
Laundry Room
Around the corner from the Dining area, there is a laundry room with a full capacity washer and dryer.
Longer term rental options
We are also open to long-term renters. We would prefer to rent the house furnished but can be flexible for the right renter. Rental start dates for furnished rental may also be flexible. Will only consider Long term if no short-term guests are booked within the dates desired.
