Tucked away in the quiet backside of the Yosemite Forks area, this custom home sits on over 50 acres of private land, offering a peaceful setting where nature, privacy, and fresh mountain air take center stage. With room for the whole family, Emerald Escape is the perfect place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect.
This spacious home features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests.

Important Notes: Emerald Escape is one of only two homes located on this 50+ acre property. The homes share a portion of the driveway but are completely separate, over 200 yards apart, and fully out of sight from one another. The neighboring home, Scenic Serenity, is also a vacation rental and can be booked together for larger groups.
Please observe the posted 15 MPH speed limit on Scenic Drive. This is a narrow private road with blind curves, pedestrians, pets, and wildlife frequently passing through.
Maximum of 12 guests regardless of age. Please include infants in the total. Any additional guests over the max occupancy will be billed at $200 per guest.
Rental Agreement: Immediately after booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will be sent to you via text and email for E-signing. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours to finalize your reservation. You will also need to upload a photo of the ID associated with the credit card on file. This is solely for fraud protection purposes. E-signing allows you to go straight to the property upon your arrival, instead of coming to our office to sign and get a key!
Welcome Guide: One week prior to arrival, a digital welcome book will be sent via text message. For the protection of our guests, the guidebook will not be given out to anyone except the person who booked the property. The guidebook will have your special door code, address, local recommendations, and much more great info to help you prepare for your trip!
Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions: Yosemite National Park now uses a reservation system to help manage visitor numbers. Keep in mind that access to certain park areas can sometimes vary, especially during peak or snowy seasons. Staying flexible and checking conditions ahead of time will help you make the most of your adventure in this stunning region.
Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team provides salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray for your use. Occasionally, previous guests leave behind items such as spices, aluminum foil, or ziplock bags. You're welcome to use any of these, but please note that our team does not check for or restock them, so we can't guarantee what will be available. If these items are crucial to the success of your vacation, we recommend bringing them along to ensure you have everything you need. We try to clearly state this in the listing so there are no surprises.
Linens: Did you know that our vacation homes are among the few in the Yosemite area to feature professionally laundered linens? For every reservation, all linens are cleaned in commercial-grade washers using hypoallergenic detergent that's stronger and more effective than typical residential options. They're then pressed at 300°F—nearly twice as hot as a standard home dryer—to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and freshness. It's an extra step we take to provide a truly clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
Fireplace/Firepits: (Per Madera County Regulation) No open wood-burning fire pits, bonfires, or campfires are permitted at short-term rentals. Charcoal grills of any type are strictly prohibited. Guests shall not bring any personal grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses to the short-term rental; only those grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses provided with the short-term rental are permitted to be used as installed and in the location installed. (Ordinance # 9.32.100)
No Pets: We love animals but unfortunately, this home is not pet-friendly. This helps us protect guests with allergies. If you're traveling with a furry friend, let us know — we'll be happy to recommend one of our pet-friendly Love Yosemite! properties nearby.
Parking: There is enough parking for 5-6 cars at this property. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!
Security Cameras: There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.
Snow Chains: California Highway Patrol and the National Park Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.
Insurance: Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!
Mail: Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.
Pests: Please note that this property is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, offering a wonderful connection to nature. While we take regular preventive measures, including professional pest control, occasional visits from local wildlife—such as ants, spiders, insects, mice, or cobwebs—can occur. If you notice any of these during your stay, please let us know so we can promptly address them and ensure your comfort.
Neighbors: Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!
Maintenance: In case of emergency - Management and Management's representatives and agents have the right to enter the premises, after making reasonable attempts to contact tenants, to make any necessary repairs to maintain the health and safety of the tenants or the property.
No Smoking: The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.
Quiet Hours: Quiet Hours are from 10PM to 8AM everyday. This is a quiet, mountain area so limiting noise during these hours would be appreciated by the locals who call our area home.
Check In: Check in is 4PM or anytime thereafter (it's self check in, drive safe!).
Check Out: Check out is 11AM or anytime before.
Hot Tub: Hot tub is checked before and after every reservation, and is professionally serviced. Pouring any soap/bubbles/bath bombs, or any other items that force us to drain and refill the water will incur a cost of $300. Also, by agreeing to these house rules, you understand there is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY for the hot tub, and that you agree to use at your own risk.
Lost items or left items: Management assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or abandoned items. Reasonable effort will be made to contact the Guest for return. There will be a $35.00 handling charge PLUS shipping costs for any found items returned at Guest's request. Management shall not be held liable for the condition of said items. Any items not claimed for longer than 30 days may be donated or sold.
Simple Checkout Instructions: We understand checking out can be stressful and hectic, so we have implemented some of the easiest checkout procedures in our industry. 1.) No need to start any laundry, we'll handle it all off site with our professional linen company. 2.) If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful. 3.) Kindly throw your garbage in the large green dumpster, located back on the dirt road driving in! It really helps us keep the critters away! 4.) PLEASE return any furniture you may have moved during your stay (especially outdoor chairs). 5.) Most importantly, please note our checkout time is 11am, not 10am like over 80% of vacation homes in our area! Our housekeeping team runs on caffeine and tight schedules, so they sure do appreciate you leaving on time! Lastly, don't forget to get a photo with your family and friends before leaving!

Emerald Escape was the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. We loved our morning hikes and exploring the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park, including a memorable hike to the Mariposa Grove to see the giant Sequoias and some fun playing in the snow.The house was fully stocked for cooking meals, and we enjoyed returning for homemade food and relaxing in the hot tub. Its proximity to Oakhurst meant easy access to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.This house was perfect for our family. My granddaughters especially loved the game room and soaking in the hot tub while stargazing. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and answered all of our questions promptly. We would definitely return to Emerald Escape!"

This is a great home. It is comfortable, private, and close to wonderful recreational activities. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking in Yosemite and boating on Bass Lake.
This home is perfect for families. Plenty of space, play areas for the grandkids and for the adults (hot tub was great!). Secluded and quiet, lots of places to hang together or do some independent relaxing. Very close to grocery and to the lake. Host is responsive and communication was easy. Hope to return!

Lovely Escape
Overall, it was a lovely place for our family to celebrate our early Christmas together. We had a few issues which were promptly addressed by staff and we appreciated that. There is definitely some updating that could be done, but overall we were happy with our stay.

Great stay for 3 families! We had all of the necessities with extra games and a beautiful spot. A great jumping off point for Yosemite with all the supplies we needed to cook, wash clothes, and play games!
This home is clean and well stocked. My communications with the hosts were answered quickly and efficiently. The house is very nice and had plenty of room for the four of us. We saw a doe and her baby in the front yard one day and a family of turkey including babies walk by on another. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in this area.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The location was close enough to Yosemite National Park while still being accessible to town. The property was stunning, our children spent most of our stay enjoying the property. We had 4 adults and 4 children ages 5 and under. The house was large and well appointed . The amenities felt like staying at a hotel with all of the benefits of a house. Would absolutely love to stay here again! Highly recommend!

Mini getaway
Our kids loved the activities the house provided, adults had a great time. Thank you! Would be cool to have a couple flyers for nearby activities. Bass lake, horseback riding... ect. Also the games were missing many pieces so alot of them were un playable, might be good to replace or toss. Thank you for everything we look forward to returning in the future!

This house is perfect for a family trip. We have five adults and two kids. We love the spacious living room that kids can play around and there are many TVs in the house as well so that kids can watch their kids channel while adults enjoys their movies. Moreover, the location is close to everything, 15 mins drive to the supermarket, 20 mins to the bass lake, 15 mins to the rail train. One thing worths mentioning is the bed in the master room, my mom and sister loves it. They slept so well on this bed and even asked for the brand ! Overall, we had awesome experience here, will definitely recommend this place.
Now... this is the most unibtrusive owner i have ever rented from. I typically jugde my rentals from the instuctions that the owner leaves regarding renter responsibilities. This owner does everything to ensure that you dont feel threatened in any way. His instructions are very friendly. The house is just awesome. Nothing i could write here would do justice to the extent the owner has gone to ensure that anyone who stays here feels at home with terrific surroundings and a homely atmosphere. I will rent this place again and again any time I visit Yosemite

House was so charming! Great for family with children! Also close to Grocery stores, Starbucks… Close to Bass Lake, and Yosemite Sugar Pine Railroad. The home owners were very helpful and respond really quickly. We really enjoyed our stay.
I rented this property for our annual family vacation whichever includes my son and daughter, son in law daughter in law and three grandchildren. The house was spacious and had all the imedities we needed. A plus was the game room which was a big hit with all. The owner/ management staff was amazing and easy to reach and deal with. We had a wonder stay and would recommend highly.
This was such an amazing trip. We got to explore the property take little hike and enjoyed all the beautiful nature! The hammock and game room were my favorite.
All the amenities were pretty cool too.
And Bass lake was so close by! We will definitely be coming back.
Everything about this experience was super easy and convenient!!! We had an amazing time and loved all of the activities for the kids in addition to the comfort of the home with plenty of seating indoors and out. Perfect family getaway and beautiful home in a great location to soak in all the beauty of Yosemite and surrounding areas. The air conditioning took a while to kick in and the fridge took a while to get cold but those were minor issues to the overall great experience. I highly recommend and would come back next year and every year after that!
