This is an amazing property. We have made this a yearly destination and can’t wait to stay again next year. The place is perfect for us. Even the mosquitoes couldn’t ruin our family vacation.

Thanks Heidi. We look forward to hosting you again.
Group of 3 high school friends and spouses relaxed on the lake for 3 nights. Plenty of room to sit around either inside or out. Weather was great, but if not there are plenty of games or movies to pass the time.
Really enjoyed our stay. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Lots of room. Had some questions and host answered them right away. This place has the real up north vibe. Clean and neat. With lots to do inside and out.
What a peaceful beautiful place. Great fishing! My family really enjoyed are week up there. We didn’t have great weather but we made the most of our time there. It was great listening to the loons and watching the eagles and deer. My family will definitely come back.
Everything was as listed. Communication was excellent. Great spot for easy access to quality ice fishing. We appreciated all of the kitchen supplies, linens and ample firewood for the fireplace and outdoor fire pit.
Beautiful property. Quiet lake and everything you could need was supplied. We spent a lot of time laughing and playing games and puzzles at the extra large kitchen table. Perfect for our family of 8.

Chris, So glad you liked the home and that your family could spend time together. We would love for you to stay with us again.
This was are third time staying at this beautiful place. We had a great time and beautiful weather and it’s such a peaceful place. We caught enough fish to have a nice fish fry. And can’t wait to come again next year. When you’re sitting out on the patio deck it’s breathtaking. My wife and daughter enjoy kayaking and myself and brother enjoy the fishing. Thanks for letting us stay 😊
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The outside deck is really nice and the deer walk right in the lawn while sitting on the deck. The lake was beautiful and the pontoon boat was a plus. My wife and daughter went kayaking and me and my brother went fishing. The fishing was good but we didn’t have the greatest weather but we made the most of it and would definitely come back again. Beautiful place!
I cannot say enough good things about the owners and the property! Stocked with everything you could need, large yard. Fishing right off the dock. Huge deck for those beautiful nightly sunsets. Very responsive when we needed. We will definitely be returning for year 5 next year. Thank you for sharing your property with us!
Liked the location and property but felt that it was a little heavy handed charging us for our dogs who are non shedding and we’re kenneled during our stay. Maybe allowing and charging less for non shedding kenneled dogs could be added as well as making guests aware of cameras on around the property, prior to renting property.

John, we are glad you liked our place.
To address your camera concern, we have only one camera that is directed up the driveway. Since we are in a relatively remote location, this is done for security purposes. We have no additional cameras on the property.
As far as dogs are concerned, we have a strict no dog policy due to allergies in our family. We were extremely disappointed to find out from our cleaner that you had brought pets to our property. If you had let us know that you were bringing multiple pets, we would have reiterated our policy to you and suggested you book elsewhere.
The extra charge you received was for the three piles of feces that were left on our basement carpeting. This indicates to us that your pets were not always kenneled. Our cleaning crew had to remove the piles and then fully clean the carpeting, not knowing what else was left behind. This added to the time and materials they needed when cleaning the house. Although this charge may seem heavy-handed to you, it was to ensure the safety of our family and future guests.
As rental property owners, we put our faith in the honesty of those who are renting our property; that they will follow the house rules and be truthful with us. Unfortunately, this was not the case with your stay.
The cabin was everything we expected and then some. From the time we booked to the time we checked out we had friendly, fast responses from the owners. We enjoyed waking to the loons for early morning fishing, all day swimming, for the kids, in the shallow, sandy bottom right by the dock the beautiful sunsets from the comfort of the wrap around deck and pier bench. The home itself is stock with all the basics and ample room for large families. We took advantage of the pontoon rental as well, for nightly cruises. We appreciate you opening your property for us to enjoy and plan to return!

Sara, thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad you and your family had a wonderful time. We hope to host you again!
The property was just as described! Beautiful setting, clean and well stocked with necessities. The owners communicated in a timely manner and answered all questions we had.
This was our second summer at the home and again it did not disappoint! Plenty of room for families, love the deck, the huge yard allowed for all the kiddos to run wild. Again we also took advantage of the pontoon rental to accommodate all of us. We can’t wait to return again next summer. We thank you for sharing this home and location with us.
Owners were very responsive.
Just a guys getaway and this was perfect. Great lake, decent fishing and an amazing property. Great amenities as well!!

About the host

Hi! And thank you for your interest in our property! Wisconsinites through and through, we started out as an adventurous family of five. Through additions in recent years, we're now going strong at nine family members. We wanted a common ground where we could all escape to, both together and separately - and when we saw this property, we fell in love.
Why they chose this property
Situated on its very own peninsula, this property is the perfect Northwoods escape. With over 680 feet of shoreline, the lake views are incredible, the yard is HUGE with tons of room for activities, and the house itself is so fully of character. We wanted a space where we could all gather together - the great room and kitchen allow plenty of space for nine of us to fit comfortably. But we also wanted a space where we could breathe, stretch out, and relax. With the four beautiful bedrooms, the huge lower level, the enormous yard, and all the deck space, there's no shortage of room with this property. Muskellange Lake is also perfect - the fishermen in the family are beyond happy, those of us that prefer kayaking, canoeing, and swimming are equally as pleased. We also loved the proximity of this location to Minocqua, Rhinelander, and Eagle River. Perfectly situated between the three, it's perfect for a grocery store trip, a visit to one of the amazing local restaurants, or some antique shopping on a rainy day.
What makes this property unique
The land this house sits on is beyond comparison. When we first walked onto the property, our jaws dropped. Very rarely in the Northwoods do you see land like this owned by a single household. It's beyond unique.
The house itself is also full of character, making it as charming as can be. The wagon wheel chandelier, for instance, sets it apart from other Northwoods escapes. Little touches from previous owners, like a loft above the entryway for children to escape to, a decorative fireplace decal that is a tribute to Native American culture, make this house truly unique.
