Ker Ar Men - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4
The Cocoonr agency is offering this charming house for rent in the village of Porspoder, on the Route du Champ des Menhirs (“Prat Ar Men”), which was fully renovated in 2019, in the authentically Breton neighbourhood of Mazou harbour, less than 500 metres from the beach. With a floor area of 62 m², accommodating up to 4 guests and opening onto a 1,200 m² garden via a terrace, it comprises a lovely 30 m² living room, a fitted open-plan kitchen, two beautiful bedrooms and a bathroom.
The south-south-west-facing house is laid out as follows: On the ground floor: - A south-facing veranda entrance hall, ideal as a bright workspace - A comfortable 30 m² living room with a view of the garden - An open-plan kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining area, fully fitted with: an oven and 4 ceramic hobs, a microwave, an electric kettle, a toaster and a Nespresso machine. - A bathroom with a bath and washing machine. - A separate toilet. Upstairs: - Bedroom 1 with sea view: a queen-size bed (160x200), a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. - Bedroom 2 with sea view: two single bunk beds (ideal for children), a double sofa bed and a wardrobe. - Separate toilet with washbasin.
Please note: The staircase leading upstairs is narrow.
Outside: - A lovely 500 m² garden, partially enclosed by natural hedges. At the front of the house, 200 m² facing south-east; at the rear, 300 m² facing south-west. - A terrace of approximately 15 m², facing south-west, with a table and garden furniture to enjoy the sunny days.
The house is ideally situated in Porspoder, not overlooked, in lush green surroundings where you can hear the sea. Nearby, you’ll find all the essential shops, numerous restaurants, bars and a market.
Things to do: Come and explore the village of Porspoder, in the Pays d’Iroise, within the Iroise Sea Marine National Park, facing the Molène archipelago and the island of Ouessant (visible from the house). Starting from the house, there are numerous walks (GR34) allowing you to explore a wild coastline and many enchanting sites such as the Saint Ourzal chapel and the Saint-Laurent peninsula… As you wander along the paths, you’ll be delighted by small traditional harbours (Port Mazou, Melon, Mesdoun, Porsmeur) and white sandy beaches. You can also enjoy a wide range of water sports, including the Penfoul surf spot, and horse riding trails in the Pays d’Iroise. Ferries to Molène and Ouessant depart from Lanildut, just 10 minutes from the house, in summer. - Cultural attractions: significant religious heritage, the Church of Saint-Budoc, the Chapel of Sainte-Anne, the Chapel of Larret, exhibitions at Le Chenal and the Salle Herry Léon... - Events: the Esti’vent festival in Porspoder, the Festival de la Mer in Argenton, numerous concerts at Le Chenal and the Salle Herry Léon, the ‘Vendredis Branchés’ concerts in St-Renan…
Transport: If you choose to come by car, you can park on the drive leading up to the house, a cul-de-sac with space for three vehicles.
As for other modes of transport, here is some information that you may find useful: - Buses to Brest railway station and St-Renan departing from Porspoder - The Saint-Renan coach station is 18 minutes’ drive away and Brest railway station is 35 minutes’ drive away. - Brest Airport is 35 minutes’ drive away.
Other notes: - Cleaning fee: €80. This fee is not included in the price paid via the booking platform. - Cleaning is compulsory for all stays. - The cleaning fee must be paid directly to the owner by bank transfer at least one week before arrival. - Linen is not included in the rental price. Optional linen package: €30 per double bed, €15 per single bed; to be booked and paid for directly to the owner. - Dogs are permitted only on request and with prior agreement. Supplement: €60 per stay per pet (maximum 2), to be paid directly to the owner. - Please leave the garden clean. - The accommodation is intended for strictly personal and private use. - Cleaning fee: no invoice or receipt can be issued for this service. - Charging an electric vehicle is only permitted with the owner’s consent (supplement of €15 per day). There is no dedicated socket — unauthorised charging is prohibited. - Cot available on request (supplement of €10 per stay). - The house is detached and fitted with a mechanical ventilation system and high-quality radiators for optimum comfort. - To minimise energy consumption, the radiators are set not to exceed 20°C. - Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
