Ker Ar Men - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4
This charming house on Route du Champ des Menhirs ("Prat Ar Men") in Porspoder has been completely renovated in 2019. It is located in the authentic Breton district of Port de Mazou, less than 500 m from the beach. With a surface area of 62 m², it can accommodate up to 4 travellers and opens onto a 1200 m² garden via a terrace. It comprises a lovely 30 m² living room, an open-plan fitted kitchen, two good bedrooms and a bathroom.
The house faces south-south-west and comprises the following rooms:
Ground floor:
- A south-facing entrance veranda offering a bright workspace
- A comfortable 30 m² lounge overlooking the garden
- An open-plan kitchen with a bar table and dining area, equipped with: oven and 4 ceramic hobs, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, etc.
- Bathroom with bath and washing machine.
- Separate WC.
First floor:
- Bedroom 1 with sea view: queen-size bed (160x200), wardrobe and chest of drawers.
- Bedroom 2 with sea view: two single bunk beds (ideal for children), a double sofa bed and a wardrobe.
- Separate WC with washbasin.
Please note: The staircase to the first floor is narrow.
Outside :
- A beautiful garden partially enclosed by natural hedges of 500 m². To the front of the house 200 m² with south-east exposure and to the rear of the house 300 m² with south-west exposure.
- A south-west-facing terrace of around 15 m² with table and garden furniture for enjoying the fine weather.
The house is ideally located in Porspoder, with no direct neighbours, in an area of generous greenery from which you can hear the sea. Nearby, you'll find all the essential shops, numerous restaurants, bars and a market.
Activities :
Come and discover the village of Porspoder, in the Pays d'Iroise, in the Marine National Park of the Mer d'Iroise, facing the archipelago of Molène and the Island of Ouessant (view from the house). From the house, there are many walks (GR34) to discover the wild coastline and many enchanting sites such as the chapel of Saint Ourzal and the Saint-Laurent peninsula. Along the way, you'll be surprised by the small traditional ports (Port Mazou, Melon, Mesdoun, Porsmeur) and white sandy beaches.
You'll also be able to take advantage of a host of water sports, including the Penfoul surf spot and the horse-riding trails of the Pays d'Iroise.
Departures to Molène and Ouessant are 10 minutes from the house in summer (from Lanildut).
- Cultural visits: extensive religious heritage, Saint-Budoc church, Sainte-Anne chapel, Larret chapel, exhibitions at Le Chenal and Salle Herry Léon.....
- Events: the Esti'vent festival in Porspoder, the sea festival in Argenton, numerous concerts at Le Chenal and Salle Herry Leon, the Vendredis branchés concerts in St Renan...
Transport :
If you choose to come by car, you will be able to park on the driveway leading to the house, a dead-end road where 3 vehicles can park.
As for other modes of transport, here is some information that may be useful to you:
- Bus to Brest and St Renan stations from Porspoder
- Saint Renan bus station is 18 minutes away and Brest train station is 35 minutes away by car.
- Brest airport 35 minutes away by car.

- The dwelling is intended for personal and private use by individuals only.
- Bed linen and towels are optional, to be booked and paid for with the on-site manager. Optional linen package: €30 / bed
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future visitors. Please leave it in a clean and tidy condition and clean all appliances after use.
- To ensure availability of the housekeeping/bed linen and towel option "linen included" pack, please contact the manager to book them at least 3 weeks before your arrival.
- Recharging your electric vehicle is possible for an extra charge of €15/day, subject to the owner's agreement. Please let us know when you book. The accommodation does not have a specific socket for recharging your vehicle, so recharging your electric vehicle without the owner's agreement is strictly forbidden.

- Dogs accepted on request, for a supplement of €60/stay/pet (maximum two), please specify when booking and leave the garden clean.
