The tiny village of Compregnac was the perfect location for us. Quiet, peaceful, welcoming. Several locals who spoke only French befriended us. One, who spoke English, helped out when we needed translation. Our host was enthusiastic, attentive, and recommended many places to visit. But she also respected our privacy. Near to many historical sites, grottes, and medieval villages. The gite was clean, well cared for, and the kitchen was well supplied. Access to the community gardens and the river made for lovely evening walks. Nearby Peyre was a favorite village and views of the Millau Viaduct were spectacular. Don't miss Brousse le Chateau to the west. Compregnac, the gite and the hospitality shown us were a highlight of our trip. Thanks to the host and her good friends. Linda & Stephen Taylor
