1 mile to Fort Sill! The CaroleBelle Cottage sleeps 8 with hottub/grills/firepit
Welcome to the Carole-Belle Cottage. This charming historic home, situated halfway between Fort Sill and Downtown Lawton, was built in 1937 and retains all the charm while boasting updates that will satisfy the most discerning guests.
With three large bedrooms and two full bathrooms, the home is perfect for families or small groups of friends on vacation. In addition, the backyard is set up for outdoor living including an 8 person hot tub, a fire pit, and grills..
I am so pleased to be able to offer you this lovely home for your stay in Lawton, Oklahoma.
The home is situated in right on Fort Sill Blvd in Old Town North which is halfway between downtown Lawton and Fort Sill Army base approx 1.2 miles from the gate onto Ft Sill via Ft Sill Blvd and the Scott Gate. Other gates are also easily and quickly accessed. The home is less than a mile from Interstate 44.
There is off-street parking in the driveway and secured entrances with access via a keypad. The home is well lit at night and there are security cameras all around for guest safety.
The kitchen is modern and includes stainless steel appliances and a gas range. The dining room table and breakfast bar easily seat eight people. there is comfortable seating for 10 people in the living room where there is also a large screen TV and a remote control gas fireplace.
The master bedroom has its own bathroom and an adjustable bed as well as a flat screen TV. The middle bedroom also has a queen size bed and a flat screen TV. The Murphy bedroom has a queen-size Murphy bed and a flat screen TV also. The Murphy bedroom opens into the sunroom where there are two single beds.
in the backyard, you will enjoy an 8 person hot tub, a large fire pit with seating, a picnic table area and grilling area.
We need to talk about one thing: the two full bathrooms were definitely built to accommodate the averaged size person in 1937. This means that, unfortunately, not everyone would be comfortable in the bathrooms and some people would not fit in the toilet areas at all. So, as much as we admire sumo wrestlers and football linemen, it is probably best if you stay in one of my other Vacation houses!
Do not under any circumstances allow minor children in the backyard unaccompanied. Do not under any circumstance allow minor children to play in or around the hot tub, fire pit, or other landscaping. You’re 100% responsible for any damage done by anyone in your group. All adults must sign house rules/TOS prior to check-in to confirm they agree to the home rules and safety practices. Please look through the photos! Guests have access to the whole house and all amenities with the exception of the garage.
I will meet you for check-in and review how to use some appliances, grills, hot-tub and go over so other minor details. Check-in tour takes about 20 minutes and is done for your safety as well as mine as it helps alleviate the possibility of damage or injuries. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 outdoor security cameras clearly visible to anyone for safety -- one covers front door, one covers the north side of the house, one covers side entrance door, one covers the second side door and back side yard, one covers the back yard area, and one covers the rose garden next to the property fence. We loved the unique layout of this house, super cute and custom little details around the house make it have so much character. The kitchen was my favorite part, made it fun and easy to cook for my family. The hot tub was also great, Susanna has made it very easy to just be oresent and enjoy family time, she has thought of (and labeled) everything.
Very cute place. everything we needed especially the availability of stuff in the kitchen for a short stay was extremely helpful. Suzanne responded to any question very efficiently and was extremely helpful during our stay.
Susanna met us at the house and ensured we knew where everything was kept and how everything worked. Very easy to communicate with her and she is extremely responsive.
Great host! House had everything we needed and was perfect for spending time outside by the fire and inside playing games. We were in Lawton for a pool tournament- the house was close to the venue and gave us a place to get away between matches. Highly recommend!
This worked out great for our family to stay at and see our son graduate from basic training at Fort Sill. It was close by to Ft. Sill and many restaurants. We appreciated that everything was well labeled in the kitchen. It offered enough rooms for all of us and two bathrooms was great too. The back yard looked great but we were unable to use the hot tub or grills because it was too hot outside.
Great space for our family inside and out! We were in Lawton for Basic Training graduation of our son, and it allowed us a great space to spend family time. As Christians, the only thing we did not appreciate was the Buddhist decor.
From check in to check out it was perfect. The host answered every question I had and trust me I had a lot. It was so comfortable and just like home. It was perfect for our family day with our soldier.

Listing clearly states and photos clearly show that murphy bedroom and sunroom bedroom are attached. Guest DID not read listing in full prior to booking or prior to arrival. I cannot be held responsible for guest not doing their part.
Property was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for kids to spread out. Nice park nearby and close to Fort Sill Key Gate. Hot tub was a fun amenity to have available. Most of our time was spent with our Soldier catching up on marvel and Star Wars episodes that were released over the summer.
To start off we where very late because of our flight. Susen the manager waited for us to show us around. The house was very clean and organized. The beds where all very comfortable and the master bathroom has a great shower. If we visit Lawton again her place would be our first place to check availability.
Our hostess communicated frequently and fully with us gave us a grand tour when we arrived. The kitchen was unusually well stocked, and the property was very clean the living room was big enough to accommodate all seven of us. We did not use the hot tub or the grill, but they were there and available. Services on the television were unusually good.
Honestly the location was perfect, we were there for BCT graduation and my son wanted to be able to relax and not go anywhere. Nearby to restaurants and not far from base access.
The owner was great, we got in a little early and she accommodated us. And walked us through the home. The only thing I wish it had was a washer/dryer but that was my fault and thought it did. Would definitely come back and stay again, thank you for a great location for my kids, husband and mother be able to stay and see my son for graduation before he ships.
The house is cute and VERY WELL equipped with kitchen things, towels, etc. Everything is labeled which is convenient and the hot tub was super clean. The host likes a LOT of communication on check in and out times so she can be there which we found annoying. She is very particular about things in the house so she does a walk through upon check in. We prefer NO contact but otherwise was a good stay and great value!

Check in tour clearly stated in listing. Tour takes less than 20 minutes and covers how to use appliances and hot-tub. DESPITE the tour, this guest did NOT do one thing on the check-out instruction list nor and did some additional passive aggressive behaviors -- i.e. ran dishwasher with 2 mugs in it. Seriously. Also stole a blanket and did damage to blinds in master bedroom. NOT welcome to return and my review of them was less than favorable.
