We rent this amazing home to only one family or group at a time. No matter how many rooms you rent, your party will be the only guests present. This is a private rental.

It sleeps 4-12 guests very comfortably. The VRBO quoted rate is based on a 4 suite occupancy. For your exact nightly rate, please let us know how many bedrooms you will need and we will provide you with a quote right away!

Designed by the renowned Spanish Architect, Eduardo Ocampo. Castillo Del Mar offers you an opportunity to enjoy Isla Mujeres like never before. Each room has an amazing 180% view of the Caribbean.

The master suite has a king size bed, spacious private bathroom, smart TV and lots of closet space. The guest room on the lower level has a king size bed and a gorgeous view of the ocean with a sliding door out to the pool area. All rooms have ceiling fans’ separate mini-split air conditioners, comfortable new mattresses and blackout curtains for your perfect night’s sleep!
Come and relax on the ocean front veranda and enjoy the Caribbean breeze that makes this side of the island so popular. Castillo del Mar is a short cab ride to Centro with its many restaurants, stores and beaches, making it far enough from the noise and bustle of town yet close enough to enjoy all it has to offer. If you choose to rent golf carts we have ample off street parking. There are many small convenience stores, a pharmacy and wonderful restaurants within walking distance from our mid-island home. We provide all quality towels and bed linens as well as beach towels. Each of the upstairs suites have smart televisions, separate minisplit AC’s along with individual balconies providing a spectacular view of the Caribbean Ocean. For your security, each bedroom has a personal safe.
This magnificent home is designed for medium to larger groups of 4-12 guests. Guest rates are based on double occupancy and on the number of suites required. Unused suites will not be rented to any other guests not included in your party. Please see rental notes explaining pricing structure for different sized groups and additional suites.
We offer all concierge services with a most helpful house manager that lives just minutes away. Concierge includes but not limited to check in escort from ferry to Villa, pre-arrival grocery shopping, special occasion event planning, catering and private or group boat trips for fishing, snorkel, scuba and whale shark viewing.

Amazing vacation and home!

Meloyne and Callie ensured their home was prepared for us to have an amazing and relaxing vacation. Their hospitality was top notch! The home was clean, had all the necessary amenities and was in a great location. The pool was a highlight of the home. Each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a PLUS and the outside bathroom by the pool was a nice touch too! For any issues we had, we received a quick and favorable response. Richie, the house manager, was amazing as well. All were very kind and we hope to return!

Great House & location for our family spring break

We stayed here with 2 other families and the house was situated perfectly for our needs.. Melonye was awesome with all our requests.. She arranged pickup & drop off to ferry dock, golf cart rentals and was always available.. We would definitely stay at this property again❤️

Amazing Spring Break Trip w/ Family

We could not have been more pleased with our recent trip to Isla and our stay at Castillo Del Mar. There were 10 of us total, 2 couples, each with 3 kiddos age ranging from 5 years to 11 years and the house was perfect for us. All of the rooms were very comfortable and had a private bathroom, as well as patio and amazing views. The property managers (Melonye and Callie) went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and address any needs or questions we might have. We were able to order groceries ahead of time, so the fridge was stocked upon our arrival and they offered plenty of suggestions for yummy places to eat and enjoy! Having the private pool was definitely one of the best parts- after being at the beach and exploring the island all day, the pool was a perfect spot to come back and relax while the kids played. I can't say enough good things about Melonye, her team and the way this property is managed- I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is looking for an awesome place to stay on the island. We will definitely be back!

Property was as advertised - adequately equipped kitchen, bathrooms, towels, etc. Property owner and house manager were incredibly attentive and helpful prior to and during our stay. Better Than Advertised

Melony was the perfect host. Set up all our arrival needs, taxis, golf carts, had the groceries delivered. House was perfect for our large group, hosted a dinner party there and she made sure she was there to assist with setup. Made great recommendations for food and entertainment and very responsive to all our questions. The pool was perfect for lounging, lots of outdoor and indoor accommodations. I highly recommend Castilla Del Mar and look forward to our return!!

Family Reunion

Fabulous!!!! Melonye and Richie are very attentive and always promptly available with answers or recommendations. The house was lovely and suited our family with plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen was well appointed which was much appreciated, the first time ever we had chip clips!!! The view out the kitchen window is amazing. It is an easy in and out house, the location is convenient to small stores for fresh eggs, fruit, tortillas and beer. Walking is easy, we added a golf cart to have an option for farther adventures. The beautiful view from all the comfortable bedrooms is amazing, each having having their own bath is like enjoying a hotel room within a house. The pool area was used day and night, appreciated the beach towels and the available cooler. Looking to our next visit already!

Great place from which to explore the Island

Melonye handled everything for us from transportation to/from the Island, reserving the golf carts having the villa stocked with our requested groceries and many helpful recommendations during our stay. There were 11 of us staying in the villa and we all had plenty of room and privacy when needed. We would highly recommend this Villa to any travelers.

Castillo Del Mar is a great place to stay!

Castillo Del Mar was the perfect place for our group of 10. The house had everything we needed for our Christmas vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and we had plenty of towels. We had a wonderful stay for the week of Halloween! I can't say enough about Callie and Melonye. We had a couple mishaps and they were so easy to contact and help us when needed. Deluxe Vacation

The owner and Richie, were most helpful. There are sheets in the picture album you should read at check-in. We did not find them until close to the end of our trip which would have spared the owner/manager many of our texts. Still, they were very helpful and patient with us. We would definitely stay there again. It is comfortable and beautiful!

Isla Mujeres - Great For Large Groups

Great time at a unique property

Where to start? Both Melonye and Callie were amazing hosts, super helpful with early check in, making arrangements for a golf cart, restaurant recommendations, etc.. their house was perfect for our big family. The front of the house overlooking the ocean has plenty of room for everyone, including those who wanted to be in the pool, those who wanted to sun, and those who wanted a shady spot to relax. All the bedrooms have a balcony or a door that leads out onto the patio, so everybody’s guaranteed a great view of the ocean. The house was freshly painted and spotless when we got there, which made the germaphobes in our group very happy. The beds were all very comfortable, nice and firm. The master bedroom ensuite is roomy. The pool was big, maybe 40 feet long, and almost 5 feet deep, so it was better than what you will find at most other private pools at other houses on the island. We liked hanging out at the edge of the pool, looking at the ocean and people watching as scooters and golf carts drove by. We also liked the location of the house. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, and the grocery store is maybe a mile away. Being on the south side of the island means that it’s not as busy as if you were in town, so for us, it was nice and relaxing. A cool thing about this house is that it was designed by an artist, and is inspired by the shape of a conch shell. The curved stairways are reminiscent of the inside spiral of a conch shell. If you are into design, you will appreciate the uniqueness and beauty of this house.

Perfect for families or groups

We loved this home! The location on the island was great for getting around to everything. Golf carts are the way to go. Close to the grocery store, and Melonye was wonderful getting the fridge stocked for us before our arrival. We were able to fit in activities for all ages, but still have a quiet home to come back to. And our kids loved the pool! the only issue I had was there was no washer/dryer, but there is laundry service! Would definitely stay again. Missing the island already!

Great Location

We would highly recommend this property. The communication with the owners and property manager Richi were top notch. The property was clean and has everything that you need for your stay on Isla. Being in the middle of the Isla was a great choice for our group of 6 couples. This property offered the convenience of being together, but yet if you wanted some alone time you could do that as well. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you need. Bedrooms all had comfortable beds, a bathroom and all with a great view. Again, we all would love to come back!

Great location

The property was the perfect size for our group. 8 adults, 1 kid. It was located near the beach , not swimmabke but still a beautiful view and breeze. Rooms were good size and beds were comfortable. All the amenities you could think of were available for use. The property manager Ritchie and the owners were very responsive on any questions we had and provided great recommendations on the island. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic home

We had a group of 8 that stayed at Castillo Del Mar from Feb 8-18, 2022, and we couldn’t have asked for more thoughtful and accommodating hosts! Mel and Callie went above and beyond for us, from date changes, golf cart rental, food recommendations and anything else we could have wanted! Castillo del Mar is on the ocean in a very desirable mid island location. The Villa is perched in a high spot with astounding views in every direction. We have a spacious veranda/patio area by the pool that runs the length of the house along with an awesome rooftop area. On the roof, there’s a huge palapa area for hanging out with a bird’s eye view in every direction.
The well-lit malecon walkway lends way to beautiful strolls as we are in easy walking distance to restaurants and bars such as Mango Café, Rosa Sirena’s Restaurant and Palapa Bar, Isla Village, Isla Brewing Company, Madera Food & Art and many more great spots. We are 5 minutes from multiple beach clubs down island or head 5 minutes north to hang on the beautiful Playa Norte or Playa Centro.
