Feel the stress dissipate as you walk in through the front door and straight out onto the spacious deck, overlooking the beautiful backyard and forest beyond. The peaceful setting is the perfect backdrop for your getaway, yet you will only be a stone's throw from the town of Douglas and a short drive (or bike ride) to the bustle of Saugatuck!

INSIDE THE HOME
This updated home has it all -- walk to downtown Douglas yet nestled in a private wooded setting. The open concept floor plan offers lots of natural light and everything on one floor. This modern home has an energetic vibe – colorful, fun, and filled with curated art pieces from around the world from the owners' travels. The fully equipped kitchen features all new and high-quality stainless steel appliances including a gas range, a full-sized refrigerator, a dishwasher, plenty of pots and pans, dishes, and utensils as well as generous counter space for those who love to cook. The bedrooms are split up for utmost comfort -- the Main bedroom with an adjoining bathroom are on one side of the home and two guest rooms with another full bath with tub on the other giving everyone a little privacy. Downstairs find the perfect hangout! With a laundry room and full bath.

OUTDOOR SPACE
The dining room leads directly onto the deck, which spans the length of the house to provide an outdoor lounge as well as a separate outdoor dining area, both overlooking the backyard and forest from an elevated vantage point. Step down into the professionally landscaped backyard to enjoy the fire pit and Adirondack chairs while surrounded by gorgeous majestic evergreens. Beyond the fire pit, take a stroll through our private walking path into our forest. You will also find a charcoal grill and an enclosed garage where we keep multiple bicycles onsite for your enjoyment.
Parking: Our attached garage provides parking for 2 cars, and our driveway provides parking for up to 3 cars.

THE LOCATION
The quaint town of Douglas is just a short 10-15 minute walk from the house, where you will find several great restaurants, bars, art galleries, and boutiques, as well as access to kayaking. You are also a stone's throw from the local grocery store, and two wonderful artisanal food markets (The Farmhouse Deli and Isabel's Market). Douglas Beach is a 5-minute drive west of the house, and the bustling town of Saugatuck is also just minutes by car or a short bike ride away. Fruit farms in nearby Fennville offer a fun summer/fall activity for families and for those who are active, there is plenty to do in both summer and winter: hiking the Saugatuck Dunes State Park year-round, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, or taking a pontoon boat out on the Kalamazoo River in summer/fall and cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in winter are among some of the more popular activities.
