Beautiful, cosy apartment house "Chalet Doris", surrounded by meadows. In the district of an der Egg, 800 m from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position, in a cul-de-sac, in the countryside, south facing position. In the house: storage room for skis, central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer (for shared use, extra). In Winter: please take snow chains. Parking at the house. Shopping centre, restaurant 800 m, bakery 500 m, café 500 m, bicycle rental 900 m, 5 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Kirche" 600 m, railway station "Dorf" 1.3 km, outdoor swimming pool 2.5 km, indoor swimming pool 1 km. Golf course (9 hole) 1.9 km, tennis 1.4 km, minigolf 1.1 km, sports centre 1.2 km, gondola lift 800 m, ski rental 800 m, ski bus stop 500 m, cross country ski track 1.4 km, ice rink 1.3 km, children's playground 1.3 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thuner-/Brienzersee 18 km. Please note: no lift. Ski bus (free of charge). The owner lives in the same residence. Additional accommodations can be booked. Neighbourhood highly sensitive to noise. Quietness and good behaviour expected.

Electric heating. Parquet floors. Balcony, south facing position. Balcony furniture, box-room. Marvellous view of the mountains and Eiger. Facilities: baby cot. Internet (WiFi, free). Parking at the house. Please note: non-smokers only. Fire extinguisher.

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment with a lovely balcony. The last 50 meters to the apartment are up a steep hill (but we did go for hill walking!) Very nice hostess.

Fantastic view of the mountains

The apartment has a balcony with a wonderful view of the mountains (but it is only half the balcony you see in the picture). It is well equipped with kitchenware and has all necessary amenities for a couple, though nothing luxurious. Grindelwald is a very expensive area so the price is probably fair. One issue: there is another apartment next to this one and the bedroom window opens into this one's balcony, i.e. lack of privacy on both sides when both apartments are occupied.

Prima appartement op een rustige plek met fantastisch uitzicht op de Eiger. Ideale uitgangpositie voor bergwandelingen, winkels van Grindelwald liggen op loopafstand (10 á 15 minuten). Alleraardigste beheerster (mevrouw B.). Paar dingen waren niet perfect toen wij er verbleven (waterkoker defect, ontbrekende lampekap), maar niets om je erg druk over te maken.

Tip top verblijf bij Doris.

Hebben van interhome geen reisdocumenten of routebeschrijving gekregen. We hadden al verbleven in chalet Doris. Nog een geluk. Moesten anders alles maar zelf weten te vinden. Van chalet Doris niks dan lof. De service van interhome was alles behalve goed. De chalet is voor ons ideaal vanwege de zeer rustige ligging. Van 6/7 tot 16/7 zijn geen 7 maar 10 nachten.

Best location in Grindelwald

The location was excellent; I would not have wanted to stay in the touristy centre of Grindelwald. It was quiet with a beautiful view over the mountains. The apartment was the perfect size for my husband and I and the kitchen was very well equipped. The WIFI was also fine. Although the decor was 1970s, the flat was comfortable. The chalet was extremely expensive; it was equivalent to 5 star prices in London.
