Maria Bluff Cottage Villa- Ocean Views, Generator, Private Pool

Summary:

This newer two-story cottage features ocean views, a private pool, and an exquisite kitchen. Ideal for a couple, small group, or family, it offers easy access from its private driveway. The cottage includes a full kitchen, living room, laundry area, coral stone deck, outdoor dining, plunge pool, and two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Multiple zones of air conditioning ensure comfort for everyone in the group. This Villa has a generator that will automatically kick on if the power goes out so guests can continue to enjoy a comfortable stay.



The Space:

The first floor bedroom is the Seabreeze Suite while the second story bedroom is called the Sunset Suite and has a deck to take in the sweeping views. The Cottage connects to the Great House via a short walkway. You can rent both villas together.  There is a landscaping for privacy between the two villas.



Guest Access:

BookVI will arrange for a Greeter to meet you at the villa for check-in, provide a tour, address any questions about the property, and offer insights about the island. Check in arrangements will be tailored to your party size, arrival time, and familiarity with the area. Alternatively, BookVI offers a virtual check-in via FaceTime to review the villa and answer any questions.



The Neighborhood:

Perched atop Maria Bluff, this property offers Tradewinds and panoramic views in every direction. Situated in a quiet, well-established neighborhood on St. John's south shore near the Westin, it features rolling hills perfect for morning walks or runs. With easy access to the beach, boat charters, and snorkeling, and close to Cruz Bay, it’s convenient for trips to town or the National Park.



Getting Around:

BOOKVI highly recommends renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle for navigating St. John's terrain. We can provide a list of trusted local rental companies and have a few villa vehicles available. Please inquire with the BOOKVI Team about options!



Other Things to Note:

All Guests will receive a contract for signature in order to finalize the booking. Once your flight is booked, please provide your flight information to help us plan your arrival. We can assist with arranging private transportation from the airport to the villa, private taxi service, boat charters, private chefs, and spa services. Guests can expect a few emails to help with your vacation planning. We look forward to welcoming you to St. John!

Fantastic

Great property for 2 couples as we explored St John! Had beach chairs, coolers, and we were able to rent Jeep through the same company. Very clean and perfect spot to call home for the week.

Amazing Villa & Location!

This was the perfect place to stay when visiting St. John. Amazing view and location- less than a 10 min drive to Cruz Bay. The house itself was beautiful with all the added amenities we could have needed. Will definitely stay here again!

Awesome Time Away

Easily accessible with a rental car which helps you move about the island. A great property with a fantastic view & terrific weather. All components to help us easily transition to “island time!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maria Bluff. The view is breathtaking and the amenities were top of the line. The rental staff was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this rental.

Great Place!

Super clean, well-appointed house with a great view. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Brandon was helpful and very easy to work with. Our greeter, Dabney, was informative and responsive. Highly recommend this vacation rental!

Absolutely Wonderful!

The view was amazing and so private, just what we were looking for. The pictures on the listing are exactly as pictured. The kitchen was very well appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. Brandon and his team were fantastic! We didn't have any problems, but I knew there were right there in a quick text if we needed them, as they reassured me several times. His team was kind and courteous! We'll definately stay with them when we go back to St John.

Wonderful cottage for 2 Couples

Great location, wonderful layout for two couples, well stocked kitchen. We arrived with coffee beans instead of ground coffee and Brandon got a coffee grinder for the cottage so we could grind our coffee…very thoughtful. Cottage is clean; nice pool and deck area. Fairly private…nice landscape plants create some screening from the main house.

Beautiful view!

We enjoyed our stay at Maria Bluff Cottage. Everything was just as described. The managers communicate well and are very helpful. When we had a problem with our TV connection it was fixed immediately. The home is in an ideal location just a short drive from down town Cruz Bay. The view is beautiful! We would highly recommend Maria Bluff Cottage to anyone looking to visit St John.

Nice kitchen, bathrooms, living area, great view, relaxing pool, great location with a scenic view. We would return without hesitancy. I think they need more water pressure for showers and they need to bleed the sulfur smell before guests arrive. Stinky at first. Water pressure issues need addressing. No hesitancy to return.

Flawless Accommodations in St. Joh

Outstanding home and hosts! This home is perfectly situated close to everything you need! The home was absolutely beautiful, clean comfortable and offered every amenity one could need (including chairs and coolers for us to use at the beach)! The neighborhood was quiet. The views: AMAZING. Brandon and team were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us with helpful info weeks before our arrival. They introduced us to the property and made sure we were all set before departing. Their responses to our questions were very timely. They gave us great recommendations. Check-in and check-out were easy. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Hands-down the best host home we’ve experienced!

Above and beyond

The Villa is spectacular. The view is amazing, even better then the pictures. The place was spotless. We couldn’t have been happier. Perfect for 1 or 2 couples with everything you need and more. Property management goes above and beyond what you would expect. We rented the jeep. Would highly recommend. They met us at the dock with the jeep and drive us to the villa which made things very convenient. We also ordered groceries before we arrived and had them stick the Villa. Very nice! You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

My cousins wedding

St John absolutely beautiful. Stepped off ferry and Brandon our host was there waiting to pick us up in our rental car. Upon arrival to house he walked us through making sure we knew where everything was. He was so nice and very attentive. He told us some good places to eat for our first night there. We chose Longboards The house was beautiful, the views from every room were breathtaking. The bedroom suite upstairs was nice, that is where we slept, when you wake up in the morning all you see outside is ocean. The house had everything we needed. No snorkel gear (no problem). The pool was so relaxing, had the feel of an infinity pool. The house was immaculately clean. I can’t say enough good things about María Bluff Estate’s. The Jeep we rented from Book VI was nice/new. BookVI stayed in close contact during our whole stay through texts. Made everything seamless. Thank you to you all. And special shout out to Brandon.

Perfection-Spectacular Property

We had a wonderful stay at Maria Bluff Estates. Brandon was attentive and welcoming and got us settled quickly and efficiently. Brandon and the team were accessible if needed, but also gave us our privacy and/or space, to enjoy our family vacation. Perfect balance. The property/Villa: One word... Fantastic! We stayed at the detached guest house/Villa. The villa was warm and inviting. The view was spectacular from both the lower level and the master suite sun deck. The kitchen and bathrooms were adequately stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. The Villa was clean, modern, and comfortable. An added bonus (you don't really think about these aspects): The Villa had 4 beach chairs, and coolers for the beach. That was huge. The location was perfect, 10-Min from downtown, 7 Min to Starfish (Grocery Store), and about 20-Min from the beaches. We all felt safe and secure, very quiet, zero pedestrian or vehicular traffic on or near the property. We look forward to returning to the island/Maria Bluff Estates in the near future, and highly recommend this property. You wont be disappointed! Note: Please don't share, lets keep this GEM to ourselves!

Amazing Villa

We had an amazing stay at Maria Bluff Cottage. The Villa was exactly as described and pictured. Brandon was kind enough to pick us up from the ferry and show us around the house and property. We also rented a jeep from the property managers which was very convenient and easy. The property managers are super helpful and gave great suggestions on which ferry to take and what to do on island. The villa is wonderful and super clean - very nice decor and furniture. Bathrooms and kitchen were nicely appointed and stocked with what we needed. Bedrooms were very nice and had all the little extras to make for a comfy stay. It was perfect for my husband and I to enjoy a week away to relax and recharge. This villa would also be very comfortable for 2 couples. The outdoor space was amazing! The views from the pool and decks are spectacular both day and night! The pool was clean and inviting - we spent several afternoons relaxing at the pool after snorkeling/scuba in the morning. We loved sitting outside and watching the stars come out from the patio. The villa is also nicely equipped with a gas grill, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and coolers to take to the beach. We enjoyed eating outside on the patio table every chance we had. The table area is under cover so is usable even in a light rain. We look forward to coming back to Maria Bluff Cottage again very soon!

Great view

We stayed for 5 nights in July. The villa is new and was very clean. Once we got the GPS location it was easy to find. It would have been helpful to have that before we got lost. The host met us at the ferry terminal and brought us to the car rental office. Thank you for that. We then followed her to the house. A brief tour of the house followed. The house sits high up on the hill so the views are beautiful. The host noted that the pool was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There were leaves on the bottom. We skimmed it daily anyway. I did see someone come out of the neighboring house and go into the pump house under the pool without saying anything. He just looked at me and walked into the pump house then left quickly. The villa front door was hard to close and you had to practically slam it to stay shut. The latch plate had loose screws which my husband tightened. The kitchen/living room area was nice and bright because of the sliders on two sides and large windows on the third wall. The sofa and loveseat were comfortable but the fabric on the throw pillows were rough on your skin. There were three remotes for the tv but minimal instructions. The binder on the coffee table said "log on and you are all set". I did manage to figure it out but the host should have reviewed it. The upstairs bedroom should have been featured at the main master bedroom. This was not mentioned during the intro. The host just said there was another bedroom upstairs. My husband briefly went up to look and he didn't realize that bed is a king while the downstairs bed is smaller. So after a long day we unpacked downstairs . It was the following day when we looked at the upstairs room again. This room had a tv, two closets and a better showerhead in the shower. One bedside lamp was missing and after messaging the host, she said they knew about it. A previous guest broke it and they did not get a chance to replace it. Take care on the steps up/down to the bedroom. They angle sharply with wedge shaped steps at the turn and we both almost tripped coming down. Hold onto the railing. The kitchen had plenty of coffee cups, wine glasses, plates and some pots and pans but not many plastic storage containers or plastic ware (cups, plates) for patio use. The vegetable peeling was very sharp and my husband sliced a piece of his finger tip off peeling a carrot. There is a counter with 4 uncomfortable stools as the only option indoors to eat at other then the sofas.

Wonderful stay! Great location and just the right size for my husband and I to spend 16 days on wonderful St. John. We really didn't need the 2nd bedroom or bathroom but it did come in handy. Views are amazing. Nicely updated everything! If you are thinking about giving this place a chance, you will not be disappointed. Brandon and Brandon were truly amazing and took care of any little issue that came up. They made our stay seamless and relaxing. Would certainly want to stay here again!! Thank you Brandon(s) :-)

AMAZING~ REPEAT STAY

Location- picture perfect, sun all day, easy to get to town and have a scenic drive through the park to the best beaches in the US (from going to BVI I would say Trunk tops them all!) Great location to explore the island- just rent a jeep! View- Amazing !!! Sun all day! Westerly is the best- the colors in the sky are stunning. Villa- I have stayed on the island in at least 10 different villas and WOW this place is perfect for a couple/2 couples or a small family. Super clean, user-friendly, amazing beds, comfy chillin' living room, perfect outdoor area, and private pool. Villa Manager- STATE OF ART- Shawna is the best. She made us feel like we were the only people that mattered! So welcoming- Welcoming is an understatement! Felt like I was the president coming in town! Shawna knows all- she gave me all the hints from the best places for snorkeling to restaurants and shopping. The Villa has a great book with everything you need to know to get around.

Nice property!

The property was very nice! The road to the property was very Rocky. This should really be paved. The Villa needs window shades or blinds on all windows / slider doors for TV / family Room. Should upgrade to King Size bed on first floor. Other than these items, a great stay! 😎👍

Amazing cottage.

We spent a week staying at the Maria Bluff cottage and had a fabulous time We love the privacy of the cottage and the private pool. The cottage was very clean and up-to-date, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. We will definitely come back one day hopefully soon

Lovely accommodations

Lovel, but you do have two very close neighbors so it’s not at all remote. This is a guest house, you can hear and in some cases see neighbors on both sides. Internet may go out so prepare. Great view, nice dipping pool and kitchen. Needs hairdryer and cutting board. Everything was great and very nice jeep rental.

Perfection

St. John was truly one of the most stunning places we have ever visited. Maria Bluff added to the perfection of the island. The cottage offers everything you need. I think we smiled the whole time! A true gem!
