Our 70 plus acre property consists of woods and fields bordered by thousands of acres of wilderness. The well known Jackrabbit ski trail (25 miles long) starts 100 feet from our lodge's front door! Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Ed Palen
We are a family of 4 (son and daughter) with both children now in college. We love the outdoors and the Adirondacks in particular. We've lived here for over 30 years and still marvel at the beauty of this area. We have 2 friendly black labs and continue to hike, climb, ski and paddle whenever possible!
Why they chose this property
Our property is truly surrounded by woods and fields, mountains and streams. We are at the end of the road with a hiking/skiing trail leaving our property that continues into the wilderness, through a mountain pass for many miles. Guests can hike, ski or climb without ever getting into their car!
What makes this property unique
Our place isn't for everyone - just those that love the outdoors and need to get away for a while. Of course the village of Keene is only a 5 minute drive and Lake Placid is only 20 minutes away for dinners and perhaps a movie...
