Wonderful Property!
Six adults, three children and two dogs thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Bed & Breakfast over the holidays! With plenty of space for everyone, and the most comfortable beds, Vaiden Inn couldn't have been more perfect. Close to Williamsburg, on 8 beautiful acres made for a great vacation.

Perfection!
Coming from a family, who owned a Victorian B&B for 2 decades, we know what going the extra mile and thinking of every little detail looks like. We have stayed in a lot of places, but have never felt more at home or more spoiled by every little “extra” amenity. From the first correspondence (Jess is amazing) to our departing conversation with Bonnie, the whole experience was amazing. We were there with three generations and we all loved it and cannot wait to go back. Thank you so, so much.

We loved this historic Inn!
Our extended family stayed with us for a wedding at the nearby Jasmine Plantation & are extremely happy we stayed at this historic & very charming Vaiden Inn which met or exceeded every expectation we had! For instance, there are multiple coffee stations, ice makers (which came in handy), very comfortable beds, a piano, claw tub, back porch, beautiful grounds (we even found a hammock!), fire pit, and so much more. If we could give our stay more than 5 stars, we absolutely would! Plus, the Inn's manager was exceptionally helpful in every possible way which was the icing on the cake. We will find a reason to stay here again!!

I am Jess... the wife, mom, business owner, web nerd, wine connoisseur (self proclaimed), photographer and traveler! I love to go on adventures with my friends and family, meet new people, see new places, stay in unique hotels/inns/homes and learn about different societies and cultures. This world has so much diversity; it would be a disservice to not experience as much as possible.

I love hosting guests. There is nothing more rewarding than to be able to provide a safe, comfortable and fun place for people who also love travel. I couldn't be more passionate about opening our doors, and a piece of history, to other explorers.

Why they chose this property

Years ago we began searching for the perfect house to rebirth into an Inn. The home had to be in the wonderful, history rich, and charming county of New Kent. A place that offers beautiful golf courses, some of the best wineries in Virginia and natural beauty that has painted the landscape since 1654. Over the years we absorbed the abundance of history, studied the art of hosting and created a business plan... and recreated...and recreated... You get the idea.

When the Vaiden House became available in March of 2017, we knew this was meant to be for us -our dream come true! The house is located in the courthouse district of historic New Kent and conveniently on the same road as all the wineries; not to mention, the home is one of the oldest with the original outbuildings still standing. It has been well worth the wait and we couldn't be more passionate about opening our doors, and a piece of history, to everyone.

What makes this property unique

The 18th Century house sits along what was known as Stage Coach Road. This once dirt road lead George Washington, civil war soldiers and numerous famous (and infamous) persons from Williamsburg to Richmond. The east and west porches are great for watching travelers of New Kent Highway and views of the historic New Kent Courthouse. There is also a large patio for chilling by a fire or grilling. The large grand house has changed much over the centuries, along with the pumphouse and pole barn that still remains on the property. Black walnut, Persimmon and Poplar trees line the trail to a creek among the 8 acres.
