Lakefront vacation with stunning views & sunken deck hot-tub along the winetrail

Welcome to our beautiful lake house on Seneca Lake! The spacious lake level oasis has spectacular views and outdoor space! We offer all the indoor and outdoor amenities you desire on a vacation, and of course wifi.

Relax on the covered deck or in the sunken hot tub. Enjoy lots of patio seating with built-in kitchen, sink, and outdoor refrigerator. The dock, 100' of level lawn, and canoe and kayaks make this your best vacation yet. Come experience a lake week near all the best wineries, breweries, and outdoor beauty in the region!

Upon entry, you are in the lake level kitchen that has casual seating and bar top height seating. Three bedrooms are located on the south end of the cottage, two of which have direct access to the deck and hot tub via sliding glass doors. (Must bring own hot tub/swim towels, do not use bath towels provided).
The Master bedroom features a smart TV, Queen bed, lots of closet space, and a fabulous lake view. The second bedroom also has a smart TV, full size tempurpedic bed, and beautiful walkout to the lake. The third bedroom has two double beds and two singles (bunks) with plenty of closet space as well. Two bathrooms are located in the hallway between the kitchen and bedrooms. Both bathrooms are newly renovated and the full has a stand up shower and the other is a 1/2 bath. Washer/Dryer combo, refrigerator, wine fridge, oven and brand new stainless steel dishwasher are on site.

While indoors you can enjoy a spacious open layout with a ample living room space that has a smart TV, plenty of seating options for relaxing and space to work remotely. Cards, games, and more are provided for your guests to enjoy while here.

The kitchen is stocked with all dishware, drinkware, cooking, baking, and hosting items you will need. There is a coffee maker and a keurig, toaster, microwave, and oven.
Outdoor boasts tons of seating and lounging spots under the covered deck. There is also a patio to take in the sun uncovered. We provide kayaks and a canoe for lake enjoyment. You will find on the patio a built in gas grill, outdoor refrigerator and sink, firepit, plus a shower to wash off from the lake. There is an outdoor smoker too for you to enjoy during your stay. Our outdoors offer a smart TV and Sonos speaker sound system (outdoor only) for enjoying your favorite music from the app on your phone!

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay on seneca lake at this lake front property. The covered patio, dock, living room gas fireplace, and closeness to local wineries were great. Communication with the host was quick and easy whenever needed.

Bachelorette Weekend Getaway!

We had an incredible weekend at this house. Honestly we don’t have anything negative to say. The deck was our absolute favorite. It rained at night & in the morning and it was still perfect to get to sit out there and enjoy the view. You can’t get a better spot! Minutes drive to a ton of wineries. Would absolutely recommend.

Magical Sanctuary

Four of us made a 4.5 hour trek to enjoy a little time together and explore the area (wineries, cideries, trails, waterfalls, etc.). We could not have hoped for a better property, so beautifully situated on Lake Seneca, nor for a better experience. The house was very clean, had everything we needed, and when there was a hiccup with the hot tub, Stephanie was beyond responsive and ultimately accommodating. We have already started planning our return! If you are looking for a quiet get-away, I would highly recommend this Oasis ... you won't be disappointed.

Amazing Birthday Weekend!

I recently stayed at the Winedown Oasis with my husband and our 5 other friends and let me tell you--this property did NOT disappoint! We had an incredible long weekend! Stephenie is a great host and provided all of the necessary amenities we needed. The house is very clean and the view is SPECTACULAR! You're right on the water with your own personal dock. The hot tub was our favorite part of the house! We spent 2 nights stargazing in the hot tub. Speaking of stargazing--this is the BEST house to watch the sky. We saw a bunch of shooting stars and even got to see the Milky Way too! Go out on the deck at night, lay down on a blanket, and just look up. You can thank me later. ;)

Bachelorette weekend

We a had a group of girls for a Bach weekend. It was close to a bunch of wineries. And about a 25 min drive to Watkins Glen. The property had everything you’d need for a weekend getaway. The only minor issue was the grill was pretty dirty from previous guests so that was a bummer. But everything else was great and as described!

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we knew this property would be perfect for our group. The patio and deck right off the lake are amazing day or night. Great stay on Seneca

The property is great. The house sits just steps from the lake and has lots of outdoor space with a covered porch and large patio with fire pit. The two kayaks and the canoe were great to have and we got plenty of use out of the hot tub. The house is well done with the renovated baths a plus. We were very happy here although some room darkening curtains, a new railing on the dock, and new steps/railing to lake would go a long way.

Birthday celebration

We had a lovely time at the lake house in Dundee. The setting was peaceful and private. Be sure to take your own paper products though! We didn't think to and ran out of TP and paper towels. Not a big deal - just had to make a stop at Walmart in Watkins Glen.

Hello friends, my name is Stephenie and I am the proud owner of several lakefront properties to include the Wine Down Retreat and Bungalow and Oasis on beautiful Seneca Lake. My family and I are long time residents of upstate NY and love the (FLX) finger lakes region! Spending time relaxing, unwinding, and socializing while enjoying a favorite bottle of wine around good family and friends is one of my greatest joys. When I'm not doing that, usually you can find me busy and involved with my three children and their sports and activities. I really enjoy coaching, physical activity of all kinds, and cooking. On the weekends I enjoy local races of some sort, a fitness class, or enjoying a new restaurant anywhere! My career in real estate allows me to see the offerings a home can be for others and for that, I'm so happy to share some of our home with all of you.

Why they chose this property

Seneca Lake is special to our family and why we chose to purchase here. We have been annual renters ourselves every summer on the lakes since our children were born and looked forward to that vacation year after year. Our decision to buy here on Seneca Lake was to be able to share our excitement of the FLX region with all of you.

What makes this property unique

The Wine Down Oasis on Seneca Lake is a lake level home with 3 bedrooms and plenty of sleeping space and outdoor entertaining. The layout comfortably sleeps 8-10 people. The floor plan is open and allows for lots of entertaining and enjoyment of lake views. There are several smart TV's, continuous wi-fi throughout the home, and games as well. Washer, dryer, and several kitchen appliances will make you feel right at home. Grab a seat on our shaded deck or unshaded patio/lawn and watch the boats go by or gather with friends and family and make memories. The water is shallow even several feet from the dock and perfect for dipping your toes in. Have an outdoor meal or roast some s'mores by the firepit. Interested in other locations?
