#4 Spacious Dog Friendly Cozy Motel Room Leadville
**Please note that there is a $40 + tax pet fee, per pet, per stay. There will be an additional $50 fine if pets were brought to the property without notifying us. Due to a severe allergy one of our staff has, unfortunately we are unable to host cats. This room is dog friendly, not cat friendly. **
My husband and I bought this historical motel during the pandemic Jan 2021. Since we purchased the property, we did a full renovation for all the rooms. We are conveniently located at the heart of Leadville. Walking
This is a private bedroom and a private bathroom with access to a shared guest kitchen (open daily 7:30am-7:30pm). The room also includes a TV with direct TV services, a small dining/working table. Towels and bathroom essentials are provided. We have a private parking lot where guests can park, we do our best to plow the parking lot, but when it snows, inevitably it will become slippery, please be careful walking in the parking lot. No smoking is allowed on the property inside or outside. If you need to smoke, feel free to go to the sidewalk next to the property.
You have access to your room and the parking lot. We are in the process of building more common areas to provide a even better experience, stay tuned!
We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Qincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. All these restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk away.
If you want to check out down town Leadville, it's a short 5-10 minutes walk. We are also close to a bunch of trail heads and ski resorts. We'd recommend a car if you want to enjoy the 100 miles + trail system in Leadville or go shred at the skiing resorts. In order to ensure all guests have a great time here, we do have the following house rules, any violation of the house rules may result in cancellation of reservation with no refund. Cute funky old hotel refurbished into a comfortable modern stay. Within a few blocks (easy walking) of historic downtown Leadville full of fun shops and yummy eateries. We enjoyed our stay - hosts are helpful and easy to communicate with.
Great kitchen. Very clean
Bed and sheets were very comfortable. Coffee was fantastic in french press provided.
Thoughtful "goody bag" was appreciated. Felt safe.
We decided to stay in Leadville last minute and booked this cute spot. There were many special touches to the room and it was very comfortable. The family loved it and it was a great value. We would stay here again.
We loved that it is a homey feeling room. They have made an ordinary hotel feel more like a studio apartment. It was great location for our adventure up Mount Elbert.
We really appreciated the nice hot water in the shower, the comfortable beds, and the fans that provided white noise. The room was indeed cozy and charmingly decorated, complete with a full-size refrigerator and small microwave. Thanks for a great night's sleep!
It was a cozy room, very comfortabele beds, large refrigerator. Complimentary drinks en other small gifts.
Nice bathroom. There was nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic renovation, very comfortable, great value
Ting’s pride of ownership shines through in the renovations to this property. The place feels less like a hotel and more like a cozy VRBO, if that makes sense. The beds (mattresses and sheets) are very comfortable. The coffee station and bath room amenities are well stocked. The central location is convenient. You can’t go wrong staying here as a basecamp for your Leadville area adventure!
Was in town for the Leadville MTB Stage race. The room was clean and airy. Floors a little off level in spots bit we got use to it. Great location, bottom of the hill right at the end of Harrison.
The property is conveniently located for a base camp for our summit bid of Mount Elbert. The property owner had planned ahead and provided rags for cleaning purposes and this was a first for me and very welcome, as it allowed us to clean our walking sticks. Also loved the welcome goody bag! The fridge was well stocked and we used only what we needed. Overall a very considerate property owner and I even loved the photos of the mountains the owner had blown up from his own collection.
Wonderful experience at the motel! When we arrived, we were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere. There was aromatherapy, birds chirping through a white noise machine, a welcome bag with ear plugs, lotion, sunscreen, chapstick, face wipes and snacks, and a fridge with complimentary bottled and non-alcoholic seltzer waters. We were able to regulate the temperature through the Nest thermostat on the wall and it stayed surprisingly warm despite the below freezing temps outside. You do hear some noise from the street and the doors can be a little loud when they close, but overall it was quiet. And when we thought it was a little too noisy from the road, we utilized the complimentary ear plugs. The host texted and emailed me the day of my arrival with instruction on gaining entry and facts about the shared kitchen. Overall a delightful experience!
This was a wonderful place to stay. Everything was so clean and there were wonderful amenities ie French press, tea pot, coffee, full size fridge and microwave. It even has a sound eliminating machine. Plus the gift bag loaded with hand cream, sun screen, and chapstick much needed for the climate. The beds were so comfortable. Can’t say enough would definitely stay again.
Though this is an old building, the room was very clean and attractive. Lots of nice extra touches like an electric hot pot, French press, an assortment of coffee, tea, sugar, etc. plus a swag bag filled with handy travel items - two of everything since there were two of us. Communication was so quick and always friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, microwave, large frig and tv. The only disappointment were the two chairs; they were small, hard and uncomfortable. But everything else was so pleasant we made do with the chairs. To get all this for such an excellent price was amazing!!! Plus it’s easy walking distance to everything in historic downtown Leadville. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it! And Ting was an excellent hostess!
Comfy bed. Road noise surprisingly low. Good room amenities including some drinks in the fridge and a couple of bags of assorted things like dog treats, deodorant, lotion, snacks...
Only downside: hot at night so we had to keep window open. There was a standing air condition in the room.
The property eas convenient to everything. The beds were comfortable, loved having a fridge and freezer in the room. The room Was decorated nicely and very clean! We received a small welcome gift as well!
