About Nancy's Vacation Rentals
I was based in Paris working as a Purser/Flight Attendant for United Airlines for 5 years. After 9/11 I took a voluntary furlough and came back to San Diego and started renting out my Paris apartment to vacationers. It was such fun interacting with people, especially those going to experience Paris for the very 1st time! But I enjoy talking to the most seasoned Francofiles, too. I was hooked and started my own Vacation Rental business in San Diego. Now I have 82 rentals but still take the time to return to Paris once a year to 'check on my property.' Someone has to do it! I'm happy to share my local knowledge with you.

Why Nancy's Vacation Rentals chose 17th Arrondissement
Describe why I bought a place in Paris? Are you kidding? It's the most beautiful city in the world and you would NEVER run out of things to see and do! Plus it's so fun to explore other parts of France after a week in Paris.
What makes this Apartment unique
This is a very quiet apartment in the middle of a bustling city. It's a great location on upscale, wide tree-lined Avenue des Ternes, near the Arc de Triomphe, which allows you to experience Paris like a local rather than as a tourist. Part of your Paris experience should be to shop at the local street market for the freshest of ingredients and and make delicious meals in your own apartment. You can get anywhere in the city, quickly and easily from the Metro and RER at Charles de Gaulle Etoile (Arc de Triomphe) and there is also easy and efficient non-stop bus service to and from CDG airport every half hour.
100% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Paris
Charming property within walking distance to the beautiful Arc de Triumphe. Good access to transportation and local restaurants, stores and markets. Super quiet and comfortable.
Great property for families
This was our first trip to Europe with our young daughter age 8. We wanted a property in a safe area and away from the busyness of the biggest tourist spots. This property is very close to the Arc de Triomphe and in walking distance to the Champs de Élysée. The apartment is in a secure apartment building in a residential area. It is quiet and clean. The queen bed in the master bedroom is wonderful and the pull out sofa bed in the living room was great for my daughter and myself. The property was exactly how it was described, and had everything that one would need for a weekend stay or even a stay up to a month or more. We were able to enjoy breakfast and snacks on the balcony, use the kitchen, and even keep up on our laundry so that we didn’t have to pack as much. My partner and I even discussed renting the same exact property when we came back to Paris. Just so that you understand that I am not giving a perfect review or that this isn’t some kind of trick to make you think that it’s a dream property, the hardware on the doors is a little old as much in Paris. And halfway through the visit I manage to break off the doorhandle leading to the kitchen. The hardware was old so I don’t feel too badly and the property manager was very understanding. One other thing, for those of you not used to city living, getting into the apartment for the first time can be a little tricky. You have to enter a code to enter the apartment building, walked out a very long haul and take an old elevator upstairs. Initially, it didn’t seem like we could get the key to open the door. But once we got the hang of it it was no problem.I would recommend this property for any family of 2 to 4 persons especially those with younger children.
Safe, secure, and amid the Parisian experience
My family of 4 enjoyed the apartment. It was close enough for a short metro ride or a beautiful long walk to museums and monuments. The apartment was secure and we always felt safe entering or leaving it. Never had a reason to call for assistance even after arriving a day late due to American Airlines. Nancy’s rental provided all the details for access and use by email several days ahead of arrival. We had a pleasant stay.
Thanks for sharing your Parisian experience!
Perfect Location And A Great Place To Stay
The condo was clean and spacious. Comfortable bed and pillows. Kitchen had all utensils one would need. The instructions book on how to use appliances, transportation options including english speaking taxi companies with telephone numbers, places for groceries, eateries, recommendations, all were so helpful.
Walking distance to tourist attractions and restaurants, bakeries, wine shops. I can go on and on.
Easy to book, prompt responses to questions. Contact in Paris was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Great location. Secure building. Good central location. Everything you need.
Nancy's place is great, nice space for a one bedroom, kitchen has everything you need, and bathroom is great. Queen bed and Queen pullout was plenty of space for four, two adults and two teenagers. Comfortable bed, sheets, linens, towels all high quality. Small balcony with room for your morning breakfast. Not really a view, but nice cool and quiet. The building is very secure; codes to get into the building, to use the elevator, and in the week we stayed, no problems or concerns.
Two grocery stores close by Carrefour Market and Franprix. Carrefour is larger. The kitchen has plenty of space to cook.
Close by. Maison Pou has many gourmet items--possibly a better option to get variety and try many French foods. Come out of 71 Avenue des Ternes, turn right, one block past Avenue MacMahon of the left side of the road. If you walk two more stores past Maison Pou, and turn left voila, you are at the farmers market; cheeses, meats, pasteries, and fruit.
Noodle Panda. Right out of Ave des Ternes, right on Ave des MacMahon for two blocks. Shrimp dumpling soup is the best.
Bakery. Boulangerie is close by. Out the door to the right, two blocks on the right. Fresh daily pasteries. Also, there is another Boulangerie near the farmers market, same alley.
I would definitely stay here again!
Comfortable apartment, very quiet, in a non-touristy neighborhood
The comfortable apartment was advertised as quiet and it really was. The 17th arrondisement offers much to those who don't want to be over run with tourists and have the opportunity to interact with Parisians at the markets, boulangeries, fromageries, choclatiers, etc. While it is just a few blocks from the Arc d'Triompe, it really felt like a real neighborhood.
The apartment was comfortable and more than enough room for the two of us. It was awesome having a kitchen to cook some meals and arefrigerator for all the cheese we bought. The shower (with a step stool to get in and out, how clever) was the best I have ever experienced in Europe.
I highly recommend!
Thanks for the feedback Mark! Nancy lived in the apartment for years when she was an international flight attendant. She added all the details. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. Please check out our San Diego rentals if you ever visit southern California!
