Cozy cabin, lots of family games

We had a great time at the house. There were lots of family activities to pass the time and we also enjoyed floating in the river and taking the boat out to fish. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house had a lot of character. Beware of the deer flies and mosquitoes.

Perfect retreat for family or friends

We rented the lodge for four nights over New Years for a group of friends from New York and Montreal. It was exactly what we wanted and was spacious, comfortable and really worked for a large group. The surroundings are beautiful. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem!

Absolutely beautiful, private and spacious log home. The surrounding views are gorgeous. Fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, plenty of gas provided for the pontoon boat, and kayaks and SUP boards for loads of water fun. Host was very accommodating and very hospitable. Scavenger hunt games created by the owner were a blast, and included hidden prizes. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Raquette River Lodge

The Raquette River Lodge is an amazing place to stay with friends and family. Donna and John make you feel welcome with a note and champagne/wine when you arrive, which makes it feel just like home. Whether you want to go boating/kayaking/hot-tubing/volleyball/gaming there is so much to do here! My friends and I have enjoyed this place two years in a row and hope to keep coming back. This place is great! - Tim

Keeping a 45 year tradition alive

After rough camping in our beloved Adirondacks for over 40 years...us old guys needed to rough it alot less without losing the flavor. The Raquette Lodge fits the bill. Great facility. Responsive owners.

Outstanding!

Raquette River Lodge far exceeded our expectations for our family reunion. The lodge is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in our beloved Adirondacks. We couldn't be happier with our choice, and can't think of anything that would have made our stay better. We especially enjoyed the easy access to the water for kayaking and swimming, and the volleyball court was a huge hit! Thank you John and Donna for the complimentary wine!

True Adirondack getaway for lifelong friends

After authentic outdoor camping for 44 years together, these 8 guys (now between 60's and 70's) - decided that roughing it is overrated. This beautiful adirondack cabin fit the bill by providing a private escape bringing the outdoors inside while making our trip preparation easy (no need for pots and pans, stoves, gear etc). The building is authentic new england lob cabin with all the amenities to make it a relaxing yet thorough getaway.

Perfect Place for a Getaway

Donna and John's cabin was absolutely perfect for our yearly gathering of childhood friends (now in our 30s). The cabin itself is beautiful, comfortable, and a wonderful space for relaxing, playing cards, cooking, and generally hanging out. The game room has everything you need for a rousing night of competitive table games. We got a ton of use out of the beach volleyball court. The location is perfect--right on the water, far away from the world, but only 5 minutes to the general store. We would love to come back again!

Quiet, easy family retreat

We really enjoyed our family stay at Raquette Lodge. There were 17 of us. The owners have done a wonderful job in creating a peaceful family retreat. The hot tub, the games room (a converted garage) and the outdoor volleyball court were very much enjoyed by all. A bottle of wine and Perrier were provided as a very thoughtful welcome gift. The home was clean and well provisioned (kitchen, games, wood for the firepit, outdoor seating, even flashlights). The lodge is perfectly situated perfectly to enjoy sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Excellent Getaway - Perfect Rental

I stayed here for a long weekend with some friends. I can't speak highly enough about the property and the owners. The Lodge is a great rental for a family, multiple families, and/or groups of friends. There are plenty of beds and the property has so much to offer for everyone year round. Our group particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. I have no doubt we would have enjoyed the dock and the river in the summer. Inside the kitchen is well appointed with everything one might need. We were provided with so much information on local attractions, restaurants, etc. The game was great too! Donna responded to our inquiries so quickly and was able to work with us to modify our booking at the last minute. We will definitely be booking again! Thank you so much!

No Cell service - heaven!

This is a gorgeous property. There was plenty of room for all of us, as we had multiple family units present for the week. Even on the rainy days we didn’t feel as if we were on top of each other at all. There’s a game cupboard with some basics, cards, and puzzles. We did bring a pile of our own board games as well. The cove area was perfect for my 9, 10 and 12 year old to kayak and paddle board with relative ‘freedom’. Life jackets are not provided, so don’t forget yours! We also loved fooling around in the pontoon boat. The kitchen was ridiculously well equipped. I don’t think there was one thing we ever didn’t have while cooking/baking and we cooked every day. Overall, we would be thrilled to return. My only suggestion to the owners would be to consider blazing a trail or two right on the property, as if you want to do any real hiking you have to take a short drive. Not a huge deal by any means but I would have loved not to leave for the entire week!

Wonderful! We took advantage of everything this property had to offer and enjoyed every minute. We lounged around the fire pit, went boating, paddle boarding, and played games. There were some beautiful hiking trails nearby, apple picking, My mother turned 80 this week and she really enjoyed winning the contest and 2 bonus prizes. She wants me to thank John and Donna for their hospitality. Thank you for lending us your home and making our stay special.

This property is exceptional! We have stayed here for work events several times and have been extremely pleased with each experience. This trip, the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed peak fall colors. We prepared lunch and transported it to our St. Lawrence team during trainings we provide as well as hosted a dinner for the leadership team. As a foodie, I can attest to a well appointed kitchen with everything one would need to create wonderful meals. John and Donna are great hosts. Thank you for sharing the Lodge with us.

Beautiful property, tons of things to do at the house (game room, pontoon boat, hot tub, volley ball etc…). Plus it is the perfect place to have a large family dinner. Huge dining room table with room for 10 people, all the plates, bowls, glasses , silverware you need and pots and pans for cooking. There is also a dw for easy clean up. The beds are comfortable (remember to bring your own sheets and towels) and the showers are hot and very nice. Overall one of my favorite places to stay.
