"Le Vieil Aiglun" is an old village in Haute Provence whose origins date back to the 16th century. Perched at an altitude of 775 m, the site holds a remarkable position and benefits from exceptional panoramic views of Provence, the Pre-Alps and the Verdon. The old village of Aiglun was abandoned at the start of the 20th century. The only buildings still inhabited have been converted into three very comfortable gîtes. One of these three lodgings is called the "Gîte du Couchant". Small stone countryhouse, this cottage offers a capacity of 2 to 5 people on 68 m2. It offers two bedrooms (one double and one triple), a bathroom with combined bath/shower, a room with a lounge area and a dining area, and a fully equipped open kitchen. The house opens onto a small private garden facing west, with a terrace and a view of the old Romanesque church. Small but very functional, this cottage is perfect for a family as well as a couple.

"Le Vieil Aiglun" is located between the Alps and Provence, in an isolated and very quiet environment, but not far from a small town (Digne-les-Bains) offering all the amenities (restaurants and shops).

In summer (from half May to end September) , a large secure swimming pool (13x6 m) is available to our guests. We also offer a large shared garden with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and mountains, as well as the ancient Romanesque church which overlooks the hamlet (illuminated at night). Many tables, chairs, deckchairs and hammocks are available to our guests, perfect for reading a book or admiring the panoramic views.

PRICES: the prices displayed on this ad correspond to a maximum occupancy capacity (5 people). We grant a discount of €120.-/week (or €20.-/night) for occupancy of the gîte by one or two people.
