About Villa Ecume des Jours:
 
Superb beachfront location at the end of beautiful Plum Bay beach. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets and fabulous sea views from the pool terrace and gazebo with outdoor dining area.

Elegant yet relaxed. The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 and a half baths, a spacious living area with open – plan kitchen and dining area that open directly onto the pool terrace. Of the four bedrooms, two have access from the living area and two from the terrace area, all have air-conditioning. Set in lush tropical gardens with an unobstructed view of the sea. Villa L'Ecume des Jours is a very secluded beachfront paradise and an ideal location to unwind.

We had a great trip! The location was amazing. Our villa was right on the water, and has the best sunset views in the Plum Bay area (where we were located). We did lots of day trips to the Northeast coast (Atlantic Ocean side) to places like Grand Case, Orient Bay, Galion, Cul de Sac, Ilet Pinel, etc. The villa was spacious, the pool was awesome, and it literally was on a beautiful beach. The island is small and everything is within 15 - 20 miles, very easy to explore, but because the island roads are so bad/curvy, it takes about 30/40 minutes to get anywhere. We did a nice mix of time at the villa and also exploring the various beaches. Marigot (the capital on the French side) was really close to us. There was a wide variety of restaurants, and we found lots of kid-friendly spots. The airport (on the Dutch side) was also really close. My parents did a little exploring on the Dutch side on their last day. We ended up having Thanksgiving catered at the villa, which was perfect. The food came a little late, but we survived. The staff was superb! Cynthia, the housekeeper and Kensy, the caretaker were super helpful and nice. Highlights included: Going to Ilet Pinel (via a small boat) Dinner in Grand Case (we went to the beach club/resort) Swimming in the lagoon at Galion (very shallow and quiet perfect for kids) The view from La Samanna (right near our villa, we stopped there for Thanksgiving breakfast).
