Amazing stay by the lake

Beautiful cottage!

This was ideal for a quiet get away for my husband and I. The cottage was charming, in a beautiful setting, and just what we wanted!! Would stay again for sure!

Comfy, cozy cottage

Wonderful little cottage with spectacular views of the lake. The home is comfortable, clean, well stocked and well maintained. The hosts are accessible, helpful and friendly. We are already planning a return trip for the summertime.

Enjoyed our stay. Surprisingly spacious for a 1 bedroom. Great views. Lots of bird watching. We loved the multiple entertaining areas and especially the wifi, since service isn't great. The covered porch was well used for rainy evenings.

romantic little getaway

Enjoyed staying at this Vrbo. It is just as described a romantic getaway. Communication with the owner was excellent and the property was meticulously clean when we got there. Enjoyed using the kayaks boat and paddleboat on a beautiful Murphy lake. The weather was excellent, which helped us stay. Excellent Vrbo property we plan on returning next year

Peaceful and relaxing retreat

Wonderful views. Cottage was well equipped with all necessities and clean. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck looking out at the water. Our dog felt at home. Mark and Sherry are wonderful hosts going above and beyond. We extended our stay and wish we could of stayed longer. Plan on staying next year.

Weekend getaway

Great lake house in a quiet neighborhood, Mark and Sherry are great hosts! The house has everything you need, amazing views and amenities. Looking forward to staying again when we have more time.

Lovely Cottage

Very nice location, low key lake without much traffic. Aquacycle included in the rental which was easy to use. Close to Frankenmuth which we always enjoy visiting. Included all necessities, low maintainance clean up. Enjoyed our time here.

we initially thought the cottage would be home base so we could venture to the surrounding areas. but once we settle in and saw how beautiful it was, - DONE DEAL- !!!! great place - beautiful lake - funtastic.

Peaceful yet festive 4th

Relaxed calming environment. Boat parade on the 4th of July and fireworks were great. We used the time to rest and rejuvenate.

Great View

We spent three nights at this beautiful cottage with a stunning view of the lake. The owners were very communicative and prompt. We particularly enjoyed the extra-large chair and ottoman by the patio doors, which provided a relaxing spot to take in the scenery. We highly recommend this cottage.

Cute Cottage

Thank you Sherry for a great experience this weekend at your cottage. It is so darn cute and we were so relaxed. Especially in the evening sipping on a glass of wine enjoying the fire on the covered porch. Love the Hawaiian theme. Definitely will come back in the summer to enjoy the lake. Molly our lab just loved jumping off the dock to get the ball. Positive experience from all of us

Relaxing week for myself, husband and dog:)

Our 4th time staying at this beautiful hidden gem. We got a peaceful week with our dog who loves to swim in the lake. We relaxed on the deck with the gorgeous view of the sunset, grilled, enjoyed margaritas while our precious fur baby slept from exhaustion of swimming on the safely gated deck. Made smores at night, and enjoyed wine,,, I cannot say enough about this place, the fishing boat was our dogs favorite because she knew she was headed to the island to swim,,,so fun! Love this place. Very clean and very quiet and peaceful.

Lake Cabin

Great property. Very secluded with a couple close neighbors, but almost like having the lake to yourself. Wish we had a longer stay to enjoy it more. Very clean, and helpful owners.

We purchased this "dream" cottage to be able to have a place close by to enjoy some leisure time, since we both work a lot of hours. One of my gifts is hospitality and my husband loves to fish, and we wanted to pass on that love and gift to others, so we decided to share our dream with you!

Why they chose this property

Our property is so special & unique. We stayed in a VRBO many years ago, at the suggestion of a family member. We realized that staying at a real home, was more than a vacation, it was almost like we experienced living in the areas we visited! Sometimes we were just as happy enjoying the home, as we were running all over being a tourist and sightseeing! We were definitely more rested at the end of a vacation, and now anywhere we travel, we find a home to stay in. When we bought our own little cottage, we decided the place we loved visiting the most was Hawaii! So we created a little dream cottage with Hawaiian touches everywhere. The peace and feeling of complete joy we get every time we are at our little cottage, with the Aloha spirit, is a gift we wanted to share! We hope you will fall in love with it too, and that it will replenish your spirits with that true vacation you need!

What makes this property unique

The peacefulness of being able to just jump on the aqua cycle and go out on the lake early in the morning, or as the sun sets. There are so many places you can go on Murphy Lake. You can ride around the whole lake, or just go find a cove, sit quietly and watch for beavers, herons, or eagles to come by. Catch fish right from the dock, or sit by the fire or read a book on the lanai. You won't want to go anywhere, but if you do, the charming antique stores in Millington are close by, or the most desired vacation spot in Michigan, Frankenmuth, little Bavaria, with something fun happening EVERY weekend all year long!
