Perfect getaway
The cabin is roomy and enough fun you don’t need to leave. We had our Christmas here since all of our kids are grown. Our kids and grandkids had the best time. We plan on making this a tradition and an every few months get away for the family.

Nothing BARE about Bear Necessities
My family loved the Bear Necessities cabin! It yes a beautiful home! We will gladly stay there again! The pool table fun was a great time-filler between other activities and games we had scheduled to do. We played games and didn't leave the cabin for the three days we were there. The owner was more than accommodating and generous with a few tweaks needed to our original travel/stay plans. He was easy to contact and quick to respond. Actually, my family and I feel he's a real gem!

Needed Get-away
Overall, it was fantastic. We were however, a little disappointed that there was not a pool table and there no towels provided (both were indicated on the website). Half of our group "took one for the team" and traveled to Wal-Mart (round trip took an hour and a half - which took from our already short time together). The owner was very pleasant and accommodating, though, and sent towels to the cabin the next morning at 9 am. That was very thoughtful. With a little fine-tuning, this could be a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the cabin very much - check in and out was easy. All in all, we had a great "birthday celebration" for two members of the family!
