The mountains are calling.... Oak Hill Inn offers 3 charming rooms each with private entrance and bathroom. The perfect location with a short 5 min. walk to the heart of down town. Our Inn boasts rustic charm with modern comforts!! We're family owned and operated for over 30 year and take pride in making our guests feel welcome!

We offer 3 charming private rooms available for rent at Oak Hill Inn. This listing is for our patio room #1 this room boasts its own private patio under a beautiful live oak. This room has a queen bed, private bathroom, private entrance, dining area in room, flat screen TV with cable, dining ware, Keurig , and mini refrigerator. The perfect accommodations for 2 adults. Our carriage house rooms #1 & #2 are located in a building adjacent to the main house up the stairs from Coleman Circle.

If your looking to enjoy the rest of Julian you are just steps away to the heart of down town. Wonderful restaurants, shopping, wineries, apple pie, breweries, gold mine tours, etc. Or take an afternoon and enjoy a short drive to explore Lake Cuyamaca, Volcan Mountain, the Nature Center in Santa Ysabel or tour the Wolf Center.

The grounds are beautiful and located within five minutes walking distance to downtown Julian (0.3 miles). Parking is located on Coleman Circle next to the stairs that lead up to the Inn. Mike & Laura will be glad to assist you with your luggage if you need help up the stair and/or any other special accommodations. Please note we do have a lot of stairs. Call or message us ahead of time with any concerns so we can be plan ahead and make your stay as comfortable as possible.


***For the safety and comfort of all our guest there is absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind in our rooms OR on the property.

***We do not accommodate children under 12yrs. do to the small rooms and quiet setting.

***Do to sever allergic reaction to any future guest no pets, service animals or emotional support animals are allowed in our guest rooms. We apologize for any inconvenience but our rooms are carpeted and we keep the health and safety of all our guest a top priority.

Relaxing Time

Oak Hill Inn is a great place to get away from the stress of the city and just chill. Very cozy and sweet patio area as well - loved being visited by chickens a couple times a day as well!

Fun Weekend getaway!

Great little spot for a weekend getaway with a loved one. Very cozy and near downtown so that’s a plus! Will definitely be staying here again whenever in town.

A lovely little inn

Communication was excellent and thorough. Check-in was easy. The patio was a pleasant surprise. I took a nap in the hammock after a long day in the sun. The inn suite is close to town but is secluded and quiet. I spent a lot of time on the patio and was so happy to be visited by a lovely calico cat and later by some friendly chickens.

Gracious hosts

Charming cottage walkable to town. The property has outside areas that invite you to sit and relax, There is an inside tavern area with an honor system ( snack time is fun time). Bring a book and relax!

Sweet property. Weather was foggy/rainy and we stayed only a night, but the oool area and Tavern were really nice. Fully stocked bar. Hope to come back!

Beautiful little getaway

Love the private little place. Super close to town, great value, and pleasant environment to relax and get away from everything. My only complaint is I didn’t know the owners are always living on the property and may be in the pool area at the same time as guests.

Beautiful getaway

This property was super cool, we lived the vintage touches in the room. We enjoyed our patio with room #1 It was a great stay. We enjoyed a few hours poolside with our friends who also booked the room next door. Our Hosts were friendly and helpful. Communication was awesome from booking to checking out, we will stay again in the future.

Quick Julian getaway

We loved our stay at Oakhill Inn. Stayed in room #1 and it was amazing. The quiet and private patio was great to sit outside and have a drink or a cup of coffee. Room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. AC was cool. Will definitely be coming back!

Adorable Getaway

My wife and I decided to spend an evening in Julian just to hang out and came across this listing. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and cute. It was nice to be so close to town that we could walk there but yet not be right downtown. Would recommend.

Quaint place to stay in Julian

Our stay was awesome! The room was even better than the pictures and the outside area was perfect to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and conversation. There was a Keurig machine with coffee and condiments to start the morning off. We were just a few blocks from the cute downtown. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Julian! Amazing!

Thanks so much! Owners were great and fun to talk with. Great location for walking to downtown Julian or driving to many great hikes in the area. It happened to be hot the weekend we were there so many dips on the artistic pool were needed and appreciated. Hung out in the Tavern and my wife loved the fact ice cream was available at all times. Would definitely stay here again.

Wedding weekend

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the property was perfect for walking to town and the wedding venue was only 3 miles away. My husband and I stayed in Room #1 and our daughter in Room #2 which was very convenient. The tavern was well stocked and a great ammenity as well as the patio. The stairs from the street to the front door were quite steep and might be difficult for older adults.

Mike & I along with our daughters Ivy & Olive took over the property, Oak Hill Inn, at the beginning of 2021. After over 22 years of marriage our dream of owning an Inn is finally a reality. What an adventure for our family to be "liv'in the Inn life".

Why they chose this property

This property was designed, built and ran by my Aunt & Uncle for over 30 years. Julian is my home town so moving back and having our girls (and Mike) experience small town living has been a blessing. So proud to be able to say we are still family owned and operated.
