Appartement mal adapté pour deux personnes, surtout dans la cuisine. Le lit n'était pas fait à notre arrivée et il a fallu disposer des draps des anciens locataires. Il y avait beaucoup de cheveux par terre. Point positif : la communication avec la conciergerie s'est bien déroulée. Nous avons bien été accueilli par Faoud qui nous a remis les clés de l'appartement à notre arrivée.

Nice apartment, terrible check in experience

This is a nice, cozy, clean apartment in a good location in Paris close to transit and lots of cafes, restaurants and shopping. However, arrival experience was very poor. On arrival I met with the contact person and he was unable to open the door. This person, Aimene, should not be blamed, he was clearly trying his best. Aimene phoned for assistance right away, and this company would not help him, They insisted that it was the correct key and told him to keep trying. He still could not open the door. They then insisted that he take video of himself trying to open the door, before they would believe him that there was problem. It took multiple phone calls before they finally agreed to send someone to assist. This resulted in a wait of 1.5 hours between the time I arrived at the apartment to finally getting in. I was tired and hungry after a day of travel and this was not ideal. Again, Aimene should not be blamed, it is the fault of whoever would not believe him that something was wrong, and would not help right away. Once the entry issue was finally resolved, it is a nice apartment. My other comment is that this owner provided only one small roll of toilet paper for a rental that was booked for two adults for a full week. For the cost of this apartment, a little more generosity on the basics would be appropriate.

We booked this vrbo for 3 nights in Paris--when our dates changed, weeks before our travel and before the no cancellation window, we requested a change to our reservation. We had to request multiple times before we heard back and when we did they said they could change it but would charge us for 3 nights instead of 2 nights. They told us it was "complicated to adjust the reservation" (anyone who has managed a property knows this simply isn't true). I reached out to vrbo who tried to communicate with the owner to get our money refunded. They promised to refund our money for weeks--we still haven't gotten it. In addition, this is managed by a third party guy not the owner. The check in communication process was miserable. Many of the other vrbo's we have stayed in have outstanding management. This one does not. We had to check in multiple times before our arrival and the property guy would only communicate through whats app not the vrbo platform which keeps everything out of sight of VRBO. Given the complications with check in, the extra night they promised to refund and didn't, we ended up getting a hotel room in paris instead--we figured if anything went wrong or we needed anything from these hosts they would not respond. The property itself may be fine but not worth the miserable communication. There are so many wonderful VRBO hosts to rent from--this is NOT ONE OF THEM.
