Luxury Country Stone Property - stunning views, private heated pool & fab patio!

a 'home from home' with heart and soul sitting among fields of sunflowers at the end of a private winding lane!
It has a fresh open plan living space, a 2 sofa lounge with coffee table and log burner, a fully equipped kitchen with large rangemaster, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and everything else you would expect from a luxury holiday home.
There is a breakfast bar and an additional 'alfresco' dining area on the 50ft covered oak porch overlooking the pool where you can dine together at the large scrub table or relax on the comfortable wicker sofas and chairs while taking in the countryside views.
The porch is the perfect place to take in the evening sunsets.
There are 3 lovely bedrooms all with windows that are screened to keep the insects out! The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds that can be pushed together with a beautiful view of the ancient oak tree. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have a double and a kingsize bed and beautiful exposed stone walls. All 3 are tastefully decorated with original artwork, quality bedding and mosquito nets and there is ample wardrobe space. There is a luxury travertine wet room downstairs with walk in shower, sink, mirror and wc, underfloor heating and heated towel rail while the upstairs bathroom is positioned between the two bedrooms and has a heated towel rail, sink, mirror, wc and freestanding bath positioned under a skylight for stargazing at night! Relax on a comfortable sunbed on a large travertine patio around a stunning 11 x 5 metre heated luxury pool surrounded by olive trees and white oleander while enjoying the peace and quiet of the French countryside! The pool is ideal for ball games with a uniform depth of 1.48m. Pool towels provided!
Enjoy an evening swim, have a sunset BBQ or push the boat out and spend an evening toasting marshmallows over the firepit.
You will feel like you're completely out in the country but 'house in the field', although perfectly tucked away, is not at all remote. It sits at the end of a private winding lane off the beaten track but only 15 minutes from Monflanquin where you can find everything you need.
Our property sleeps 4 comfortably, but can accommodate 6 max. and is NOT suitable for babies or very young children.

UN ENDROIT MAGIQUE - UNE MAISON DE REVE

Huit jours hors du temps, la maison est très confortable et très agréable à vivre, parfaitement bien aménagée aussi bien à l'intérieur avec une décoration réussie qu'à l'extérieur sous le auvent et autour de la piscine où il ne manque rien (transats, sofas, tables, parasols, barbecue....) Son emplacement est idyllique, au milieu de la campagne avec de très belles vues sur les champs .."House in the field" L'endroit est particulièrement calme, simplement le bruit de la nature sauvage environnante....Tout était parfait ..Nous reviendrons ....Mille merci à Lindsay et à Tim pour leur exceptionnel accueil, leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité, et pour toutes les attentions qu'ils nous ont portée.

Superbe sejour - environnement verdoyant et calme

Superbe maison et hôtes charmants. Séjour idyllique dans la campagne du Lot et Garonne. La maison est superbement rénovée avec goût et rien ne manque. Simplement les chambres de l’étage ne sont pas recommandés au trop grandes personnes… Pour les enfants c’est le paradis! La piscine est absolument géniale et chaude. Le jardin est immense et la forêt attenante est source de fraîcheur et un lieu d aventure. Lindsay et Tim sont des hôtes « five stars »⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ qui sauront répondre à toutes vos questions et qui connaissent très bien le pays. Les chiens sont adorables (mais un peu timides). L’environnement et les alentours sont tout aussi intéressants et regorgent de curiosités touristiques (bastides, châteaux, grottes) et d espaces pour les plus sportifs (ballades, canoë, vtt, running, accrobranche, …). Bref, il y en a pour tous les goûts, ceux qui veulent s’ennuyer et se prélasser au bord d’une piscine et ceux qui veulent voir du pays ou transpirer! Merci encore pour ce beau séjour.

We bought the property in 2015 and moved here permanently from Surrey in the UK in July 2017 when we took early retirement. We renovated the old stone house which has become the gite and are now in the final stages of renovating an old barn also on the property. We are so fortunate to live in such a heavenly location and are really happy to share it with busy people who need time out to recharge! We love meeting new people and you can be sure of a very warm welcome! We have two lovely dogs who are quite timid and will not come near you.





Why they chose this property

Rural tranquility and stunning views yet only 15 minutes to the stunning bastide town of Monflanquin. The Bastide towns of Monpazier and Villereal are also nearby as are two lovely Chateaux. So much on the doorstep but you will feel like you are totally secluded!
