In an exceptional setting between 1100m and more than 4000 metres above sea level, mountain lovers, mountaineers, hikers or contemplatives, will be able to live privileged moments in the heart of a nature preserved by the Ecrins Natural Park and discover the prestigious peaks: La Dibona, Les Ecrins, La Meije, Les Bans, Aile Froide... It is in the Hameau des Etages, at an altitude of 1600m, in the former hotel Les Alpinistes, built in 1932 that you will spend an unforgettable stay.
This hotel has been completely renovated and tastefully decorated by the new owners who have managed to preserve the warm atmosphere of the mountains combined with great comfort.
This place, 3kms from La Bérarde, is one of the mythical places of mountaineering where only chamois, marmots and black grouse will be your hiking companions.
You will be able to admire the Dome of the Ecrins from your land (2500m2 fenced), adjoining the two cottages and benefiting from an exceptional sunshine.


Activities and leisure: You can practice all freshwater sports activities in the Vénéon (tumultuous river): RAFTING, HYDROSPEED; CANONING, VIA FERRATA, canoeing, trout fishing, You can also pick blueberries and mushrooms.
A 20-minute drive away you can enjoy an aquatic centre in Bourg d' Arud with swimming pool and large slide, the ADVENTURE PARK and the Donkey Farm; or go to the resort of DEUX ALPES by gondola (via Venosc) to practice summer skiing on glacier! and visit the resort with its many shops, bar, restaurants...
You can also practice climbing in many perfectly equipped routes.


Contemplatives will be able to admire an extraordinary flora and fauna (chamois, roe deer, marmots, black grouse, golden eagles, etc.) and sometimes herds of cows, sheep and donkeys.

Hikes and refuges: Here are some hikes that you can practice during your stay:

the Du Soreiller refuge, at the foot of the famous Di Bona, (climbing site) 3h30 return, the Vallon des Etages 2h30 return, departure from your cottage on foot.
The Vallon de la Mariande, the Lac des Bêches, the Chardon valley, the Tête de la Maille, the Vallon du Chardon...

Hikes arriving in the refuge: La Lavey 3 hours return, the Promontoire 6 hours return, the Pilate 6 hours return, La Selle, the Chateleret 3 hours return, the Carrelet 2 hours return, the Temple Ecrin 4 hours return.

Cultural activities and relaxation: 20 minutes by car from your cottage you can go to the village of Venosc where you can
Visit multiple craft shops, a honey house, cobbled streets...
10 minutes from your cottage by car, you can go to the mountaineering museum of St Christophe en Oisans and visit the famous cemetery where Father Gaspard de la Meije is buried.
From the village of Venosc, by gondola (ascent about 10 minutes) you can go to the resort of Les Deux Alpes to go shopping (sports shops, souvenirs...) or taste excellent pastries in the many tea rooms - chocolate maker.
If by chance the weather is capricious, you can go to the cinema or, for these ladies, treat yourself to a beauty break in beauty salons or hairdressing salons.
