Considerably less than ideal

It is listed as 6 bedrooms but it only has 4. We have rented many VRBO through the years and this one was the first where we had to do a lot of cleaning. We spent the first 20 minutes clearing the sidewalks and patio which were covered in a very heavy layer of dead leaves and fallen branches.The fridge had to be cleaned of long hairs and other debris.The dishwasher was full of (hopefully) clean dishes that had to be put away. Much of the cookware and waffle maker had been put away without cleaning. The charcoal grill was rusted through, full of ash and quite dirty. We didn't get to use the firepit because it was buried in leaves and debris. The rest of the house was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the many sitting areas throughout the house and the view of the deer every morning and late afternoon.

Lakeside gem!

What a gem!!! This house was the perfect spot for our little get away. Clean, comfortable, beautiguk home with easy accessibility to the lake. We will definitely be back!!!

Problematic

This property is in need of some serious repairs. Shower didn't work downstairs, door handles fell off in upstairs bathroom, ceiling leaks in kitchette area, the outdoor entry was covered with debris, when it rained the kitchenette area flooded, the oven had to be cleaned before we used it, the ice maker did not work on the refrigerator, too much more to tell...

Great Summer Getaway on the Lake!!

We loved this spacious house on the lake. We had lots of fun playing a family game of kickball in the huge yard. The kids and adults loved doing a little fishing off the dock before taking the boat out on the lake.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time here! The house is large and spread out with lots of different spaces to hang out! We had a puzzle going in the parlor room, game night in the dining room, Xbox relay in the living room, and ping pong tournament happening upstairs! You can also olay a pretty solid game if hide n seek here! The kitchen is fully stocked and great for cooking! Having the dock in our line of sight worked out perfectly. We had a couple of teens who love fishing and they practically lived down at the dock! We had a significant storm while staying there and we were able to race down and secure the boat quickly as well. The owners are super quick to respond to questions and we were so thankful for that. Just a note there is absolutely no cell signal at the house but the internet works great! We enjoyed going antique shopping all over the area and the Blues Landing Restaurant in Buchanan was amazing! It really is a fantastic retreat for a large, water loving, family!

Elegant Lake Home

This home was set up perfectly for our extended family to celebrate our son’s graduation from Murray State. My communication with the owners was quick and helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful stay.

Pleasant stay

We were very happy with our stay. The only inaccuracy was said sleeps 12 with 6 beds. That seemed to be if you included couches. However it did not affect our stay. That lake was beautiful and the private dock was perfect for our needs

Perfect for a Graduation Celebration

What a beautiful home in a remote lakeside location! Our family enjoyed celebrating our younger daughter's graduation at this wonderful property. We highly recommend the property to anyone visiting the Kentucky Lake area.

Family birthday

Beautiful large home that had plenty of space for four families and all of the children. Great getaway in a quiet location with with lake view. Quick responses from owners with any questions. Will stay here again and highly recommend this property. Five stars all the way!!

Absolutely amazing!!

This property was amazing!! We have rented vacation properties for many many years, and this is absolutely one of the best properties that we have ever stayed at!! We were all extremely sad to have to leave. We had a family of 10 people and never once did anyone ever feel like there was not enough room. This property has 4 separate private bedrooms (3 upstairs and 1 downstairs). It also has a pull out sleeper couch downstairs and a trundle bed upstairs in the game room. More than enough room for any large crowd. There is also 3 full bathrooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs) and an additional half bath downstairs. For TV entertainment, this property provides very fast internet service, as well as Roku and Sling TV. There are TVs in almost every room in the house so no one had to fight for the remote, and not once did any of us feel like we were completely isolated from the outside world. The beds were comfortable, the house was very clean and well stocked. If I did have to come up with a negative, I would say that there was not enough cookware and cooking utensils. However, this was such a minor issue that we easily worked around. During our stay, Kris (Owner) made sure we had everything we needed and responded extremely fast with questions we had. We can't thank them enough for letting us into their vacation home and helping us make memories that will last a lifetime! If you are still thinking about this property, stop thinking and just do it. You will not regret it!

Presently, we call the outskirts of Austin, TX home, as Carol is stationed at Fort Hood. Our household is completed by our cherished companions: Sir Edward, a Dachshund, and our newest addition, King Henry, a Miniature Goldendoodle.
