This charming studio offers great comfort: Large double bed (160x200) + kitchenette + private bathroom (Spacious shower + wc). Wifi.

The name of this studio is "Refuge du Lutin" in French. Which means "Refuge of the Imp". If you search the internet for imps, you will learn that of all dwarves imps are the smallest and the wisest. Imps are usually between 2 feet 2 inches and 3 feet 5 inches tall and mostly have fair, red or light brown hair and clear green, blue or grey eyes. Should you be somehow taller, you could still have a comfortable stay in this studio which is twice as large as many hotel rooms!

A German couple who spent 2 weeks in the studio described the place with some simple words: "Mini Apartment with Maxi Charm, small but never tight"...

The studio offers traditional Alsatian decoration and modern comfort. The layout of the studio makes the best out of the available space and will provide comfortable lodging for one couple looking for a charming and elegant holiday home at budget rate. This romantic studio is equipped with a large double bed (160 x 200 cm), a kitchenette with everything necessary for preparing meals + a dining corner and a private bath room with spacious shower and wc.


Finally, this little studio can provide a very pleasant and comfortable stay for a couple of days and even a week or so.
The studio apartment is part of the city walls (National Heritage) and does not have any terrace, balcony or any private space to sit outside. But it is overlooking the public garden of the Cour des Bergers (Shepherd's Square) where you can enjoy the benches opposite the magnificent scenery of the ramparts. The forest and vineyards are a mere 300 yards away: walks and picnic are waiting for you.

Wir haben anlässlich unserer Silberhochzeit ein paar Tage in Riquewihr und dem kleinen Apartment verbracht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, haben gut geschlafen in dem bequemen Bett. Das sehr kleine Zimmer ist für 2-3 Nächte ausreichend. Die gute Lage am Rande der Altstadt ermöglicht es, alles fußläufig zu erreichen.

Wir haben die Unterkunft genauso angetroffen, wie auf dem Foto gezeigt. Dieses hatte es uns angetan, und genauso war es auch. Die Sitzecke optimal und sehr platzsparend, die Dusche ungewöhnlich gross, sodass man sich richtig bewegen kann. Wer ein sauberes "Puppenhäuschen" mag, dem sei es sehr empfohlen. Wer einfach eine Unterkunft sucht, hat auch das. Herzlicher Empfahng, einfache Formalitäten, alles bestens.

21st Century stay in mediaeval village

We previously stayed in The Refuge of the Imp (Lutin) in 2008, and were most impressed at the consistent standard of the accommodation. Checking in and out was efficiently organised: simply follow the instructions carefully. We would recommend this as a place to stay for a wide range of interests, including viticulture in Riquewihr and surrounds, walking to the neighbouring villages, driving into the Vosges mountains. The restaurants we went to, au Dolder and and la Grenouille, were very good with a choice of general and local dishes. Ancient Riquewihr after dark in the middle of winter is most impressive.

Soggiorno in un paese stupendo e romantico appartamento piccolino ma confortevole c'è tutto per trascorrere un paio di giorni in relax. Un po' caro, non mi è piaciuta la signora che gestiva la location, Voleva farci pagare due volte la tassa di soggiorno, L'avevamo pagata il primo giorno e alla fine della settimana ci ha chiesto di nuovo il pagamento, furbetta!

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful village

I can't recommend enough. Superb communication from the owners and manager, Valerie. Riquewhir is absolutely amazing and never fails to captivate. It also takes on a new life after dark. There are many surrounding villages and towns that are also worth a look. Colmar in particular has all you could ever want from a Christmas market. This accommodation has been sympathetically restored to suits it's ancient surroundings and has also been cleverly designed in order to make a small space comfortable and convenient. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return again!

Perfekt eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Gut durchdachtes Konzept. Trotz altem Gemäuer muss man nicht auf moderne Annehmlichkeiten verzichten. Man ist direkt in Riquewihr. Hübsche Geschäfte und jede Menge Restaurants laden fußläufig zum Genießen ein. Trotz zentraler Lage in der Stadtmauer, hat man abends und morgens idyllische Ruhe. Aus dem Fenster kann man auf die Weinberge in der Abendsonne schauen.

Agréable - Confortable - Pratique - Propre

Etre au coeur de Riquewihr a été bien agréable. Des explications précises m'ont été données pour arriver facilement sur place, et des consignes claires sont apportées lors de l'installation. L'appartement est fonctionnel. Tout le confort est là. La décoration est faite avec bon goût et les lieux sont propres jusqu'au moindre détail. Le lit est très confortable et il y a de quoi être autonome au niveau des repas (le coin cuisine est équipé), même si de bons restaurants existent à proximité, comme le Throttus, Le Bar à Sushi, le Dolder et les restaurants de Jean-Luc Brendel. Ils m'ont été conseillés par les Remparts de Riquewihr et effectivement, j'ai passé un bon moment. Cet appartement de petite taille est l'idéal pour une ou deux personnes lorsqu'on vient pour travailler sur le secteur de Riquewihr ou Colmar, ou pour marcher dans les vignes. C'est un bon pied à terre. Quant au prix, il est moins élevé que certaines chambres d'hôtel que je peux occuper au fil de mes déplacements, alors que l'espace est plus grand et le confort meilleur. Je reviendrai et recommande le refuge du Lutin, aux Remparts de Riquewihr.
