Perfect

Perfect location if you plan on traveling to any of the smaller islands. Clean with good size room. Easy to get into and out of and the supermarket is right in front. If you’re looking to visit/explore Fajardo this place will be perfect for you and your family.

First day ok, after that security follow me and the family every single dayHarassment and embarrassment, ask many to questions to us and even have the key to the pool do not let my family use. This is the first terrible vacation I have with the family. One of the thing I take this place included pool but security don’t let me I have a autism kid and he wants to go to the pool and stay in the condo 24/7 is not good. Great place to stay

This place was great. It is in a great location. You can easily get to any one of the many great locations in PR. The complex is in a gated community for extra ease of mind. There is also a grocery story right outside of the complex as well as many fast food options close by.

Monte Sol property

Stayed on this property for 9 nights. It had everything I expected and more. The 3 bedrooms accomodate at least 6 people comfortably. The property had everything you would need for a day day at the beach; beach chairs, pool noodles, small cooler, and beach toys. My family and I had a great stay. Highly recommended. I would stay at this properly again.

Place was clean on the surface but found trash/dust behind furniture. Really needs a deep cleaning. We bought plastic bed covers after finding bugs on bedding. Will not stay there again.

amazing place

This has been my third time staying here. Rafael is really nice and makes you feel right at home. The place is warming and really clean. It is also very quiet area. It has everything you need. You have the supermarket, pharmacy, and fast food places within walking distance. I cannot wait to plan my next trip!

Wonderful family vacation

Condo was everything we wanted and more! Spacious enough for our family of 6. We loved having a pool on site and spent a lot of time there. Condos location was in a perfect spot for us, right next to a grocery store and close to everything we wanted to do with the kids. Yunque, bio bay, and the ferry to culebras. Having a washer and dryer made things so easy for us especially with kids. We loved the condo. If we stay in Fajardo again we will rent again. 10/10 will recommend to everyone wanting to travel to that area. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Great place, great location!!

We were unsure what to expect after Maria, but I'm glad we decided to continue with our Puerto Rico vacation plans! The property was in great condition and the owner, Felix, was quick to respond to any message I sent prior to our stay. Upon arrival, the property manager, Rafael, stayed until we got to the property (almost an hour late). We had plenty to do in the area and took several day trips to other areas around the island. Great place and I highly recommend it!!

Feels Like Home

My friend and I felt safe and comfy at this lovely condo. It provided a good base from which to explore this fascinating island. We enjoyed many snorkeling/swimming trips to amazing Luquillo Beach, dinner and Bio Bay tour at Las Croabas, scuba out of Puerto del Rey marina, and the best snorkel ever at nearby Culebra Island as well as several day-trips to El Yunque National Rainforest Preserve. The owners are amazing and the manager is a helpful friendly teddy-bear.

Great space and bang for your buck!

Rafael was really helpful and the apartment really has everything you need! It's located about 15-20min from the ferry, so it's the prime location to stay if you'd like to take the ferry to Culebra. We were able to bring beach chairs and a cooler that were available for us in the apartment. Supermarket and liquor store nearby as well as other shops. We were able to visit Luquillo beach easily from there as well. Rafael also had tons of brochures and information for places to go/things to see in the living room...just in case you're not sure!

Comfortable, Convienent and Affordable

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Monte Sol. Rafael was very helpful from the time we booked until the time we left. The condo was clean, the bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. The location was great for a family of 5 adults who wanted to experience the many adventures on the island (i.e. El Yunque, kayaking, the ferry and beaches). We appreciated having a grocery store within walking distance and liked that the community was gated so that there was very little traffic around. We had a little trouble finding authentic Puerto Rican restaurants in the area so would probably ask for suggestions next time. I would recommend this property and would stay again on my next visit to Puerto Rico.

ANY TIME I AM IN PR I WILL BE STAYING HERE!!!!!

Let me start off by saying that Fajardo is home to my family and the location was perfect for my wife and kids. 1st time she had visited PR and we agreed it was so much better than a hotel. El Conquistador, La playa de Fajardo, Las Croabas, and other good spots were minutes away (driving wise) from the condo. EXTREMELY COZY and a great setup for my family and I. The master bedroom has an excellent bed that invites you after a day at the beach. The AC was really awesome because it does get hot in Puerto Rico. Conveniently located within walking distances from the supermarket, a bakery, fast foods, gas station, a pool, etc.....THIS PLACE COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. So much so that we are going back for the family reunion and plan to stay there again !!!!!!!

Great Value

The condo itself was comfortable with everything we needed and space to spare. The beds, AC, and Wifi were all great. The complex itself is somewhat rundown and the pool area (which needed to be booked in advance because of covid) was not very inviting with no pool chairs and less than clean surfaces. We used it only once, which was a little disappointing since my teen agers were most excited about pool time in the late afternoons. Instead they watched TV in the condo. The complex was secure and covered parking was great. The place was very secure and within easy driving distance of many attractions. There was a large grocery store a two minute walk from the complex. Overa,l great value for the price. despite the somewhat faded exterior.

Nothing less than WONDERFUL!

This was the perfect condo and area for our family vacation! 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms! EVERYTHING you need is just a short walk away! First off you have a gorgeous beach just 15 minutes away called "Seven seas beach"! Great food down by Luquillo beach kiosks! Great shopping & more great food further down! Rafael is the best! Super patient with us when we got lost when we arrived but he stayed on the phone with us the whole time! He made us feel like we were staying at a family home. The condo is clean and has all the amenities you need! Big king size bed in the master and our kids stayed in the room with twin size beds which was perfect! The pool was perfect! Clean and we actually had it all to ourselves which was a bonus! Never had problems with mosquitos. If we did stay out late we did put on the mosquito repellent just in case...but no problems. Thank you so much again Rafael! You truly made us feel welcomed and we had such an awesome time that this will definitely be our go to place in Puerto Rico in the future!

Truly a home away from home...

I stayed at Monte Sol from June 4-July 4, 2013. I was nervous about using this site for the first time, but the prompt, informative, and kind messages from Evelyn put me at ease. I arrived alone, and Rafael (the property manager) was kind enough to meet me near the airport so I could follow him to the property--I was really glad for this as it was dark and raining hard when I arrived! (It is an easy drive from the airport, however.) During the course of my stay, friends and family arrived and they all commented on how nice the condo is. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. It is close to many attractions such as the bio bay, Puerto del Rey, Luquillo Beach (among others) and some great restaurants! My family loves food and we enjoyed La Pasion el Fogon, Las Vistas, La Oleolai, La Vejigente (at the Luquillo kioscos), and our very favorite was La Estacion, which we went to repeatedly. We also enjoyed Aromas Coffee and Crepes in Luquillo Plaza for coffees, pastries, and crepes--but sometimes you had to be prepared to wait,but the food was great. We also took various boating/snorkeling excursions and had a blast and visited Old San Juan a few times. A nice grocery store is right outside the gates, and Walgreens is nearby. When I left, Rafael kindly met me again to pick up the keys and seemed genuinely concerned with whether or not I enjoyed the condo and my stay. I would stay here again and so would the friends and family who joined me. Thanks for making my first vacation in a long time very relaxing!

Here are some concerns, a) When arriving we could not find the apartment,0 indication was posted, we left the managers numerous messages. She never returned our call. We had the help from the security guard to reach the owner so we can enter the property. This procedure took over 1.5 hours.Very frustrating. Once we entered we discovered a water leak in the kitchen,which we advised VRBO ,the next day they sent a repair man and he tried to fix it however did not succeed. They sent another repair man and he found a leak in the bathroom bowl,he decided to remove the toilet bowl ,but he could not repair as he was missing parts, need to come back the next day to finish the repairs. Never advising us of this repair when we got home we used the toilet and found out it had been disconnected and there was not water in the bowl so we could flush. While the original leak in the kitchen was never fixed. Lets move on to the next issue, the kitchen pots and pans are every old and all teflon pans were better for the garbage than to cook in. Kitchen need a lot of love. For all these issues ,they offered us no compensation what so ever. The last issue is the washer and dryer, we stop using it as it sounds like a jet engine when drying. Now for the good parts, the property is very well located,lots of space for 6 people to comfortable, stores in walking distance ,pool is very clean. Great TV programming lots of channels

Very comfortable and really is like being at home. Plus your close to a lot of fun things to do!

This is the second time that we have stayed here. You can't really beat what you get for the price! They have everything you need right there at the condo. You can pack less clothes because they have a washer and dryer. You can go right down to the amigo and get food to cook so you can save $ by not having to eat out all the time. The king bed is super comfortable! If you have a problem you can always call Rafael! We would know about calling Rafael, because we somehow locked ourselves out on the balcony and he came over and saved us! Thank you again Rafael!! The door to the patio sticks a little (which is how I think we accidentally locked it when going out to the balcony) so I would recommend not having everyone on the balcony at the same time, or not shutting the door all the way! Of course I'm sure no one else has managed to do this, must have just been our wonderful luck! This condo is close to luquillo, which I definitely recommend luquillo beach ( take the right exit for the kiosks,when you get off the exit and stop turn right and pay $2.50 to get into the beach) it's so beautiful and clean there! They have chairs and umbrellas for rent and they have a bathroom/ changing area and showers and it costs $1 to use this for the whole day. You are also really close to the marina so if you take a day trip your like 5 minutes away. We would recommend the east island excursions snorkeling and beach trip to Culebra. You get to snorkel for about 2 hours then they take you to Flamenco beach for about 2 hours and boy was that beautiful! Also right in fajardo is the bio bay. I believe this is a must see every time you come to Puerto Rico! First time we did kayaking, which if your an excellent kayaker go for it. The second time we did the electric boat trip through bioisland and it was so much better than kayaking. You got to enjoy just riding and listening to Mario talk about what makes the biobay, the mangroves, sponge, crabs, iguanas and once you get to the bio cove they take out tarps,so even if the moon is out you can still enjoy the bioluminescence! He also showed us different star constellations! It was well worth the extra $10 per person to not almost kill ourselves kayaking! There are so many perks to staying in this condo, your just a short distance away from so many wonderful things to do, you can't beat the price, you can't beat the wonderful people who own the condo and especially having Rafael around to come save you, if needed!☺

A Modern Home with a Touch of Rainforest Magic

Love it. We had some confusion getting to the condo due to some construction on the road but Rafael came to meet us at a shopping center and took us to the condo. The condo is on the third floor and there's no elevator so be aware. The condo was spacious and tastefully decorated. The three bedrooms were perfect for our family of 5. The room painted in lavender color obviously went to our 10 year old daughter. The other bedroom had two twin beds, which would perfectly be suited for the two boys age 5 and 8 of mine. Unfortunately, they both liked the huge king size bed in the master bedroom, so we ended up squeezing in that bed. But not a worry, there was enough room for us and we all had our sleep restfully. The master bedroom has its own bathroom. There is another bathroom outside. I cooked every night. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the electric stoves heated up pretty fast. There's a market literally down the street to the condo. The condo has laundry amenities. Rafael told us about Seven Sea beach in Fajardo. We went there one day. Bought lechon from the street for lunch and it was delicious. Seven Sea is where the local hang out in the weekend therefore it was a little busy. The condo is close to Luquillo Beach as well. On the last day we went to meet up with my friend and her family (coming from Pennsylvania) at El Yunque. Trip to El Yunque took us roughly half an hour. The drive was a breeze. So let me tell you about the magic of the rainforest that you can experience while staying at the modern condo. Every night if you step out to the balcony you would hear the sounds of the rainforest. Birds (quite a collection of different voices), crickets, beetles, frogs, you name it, continued their singing throughout the night. You can close your eye in that darkness and listen to the sounds and feel the gentle breeze on your skin and you will forget that you're on the balcony of a condo in a gated community, and that if you just walk a few feet inside and shut the door, you'll be in a quiet air-conditioned home restful and far away from the exotic and adventurous beauty of Puerto Rico. Naturally when you swim in the community pool you can stay there until late and enjoy the sounds of the birds while swimming. I would totally recommend this place. Location is great. Felix answered my questions quickly and Rafael (the local representative) was sincere and helpful.

Fajardo is a quiet town that is close to all of the attractions. Monte Sol fits my family life style and provides a cost effective vacation rental for my guests. Love the area. It is priced right, clean, and provides wholesome, family related activities.

What makes this property unique

Fajardo is close to all of the major attractions. We are close to P.R. 3 and it is not necessary to take long winding roads up into the mountains unless you choose to do so. We are a few minutes drive away from the Rain Forest, beautiful beaches, San Juan, shopping, and seaside country towns.
