Additional sleeping space in the lower level with a pullout queen sleeper sofa. Upper and lower decks with unobstructed views of the lake and gas grill on the upper deck off the kitchen for cooking. Walk out basement to the backyard with beautiful views and one of the most beautiful stretches of SANDY beach right on Lake Huron! End your evening with a campfire as you listen to the waves wash in. Just 4 miles from the restaurants/bars/shops of downtown East Tawas and 3 miles from Tawas Point State Park! Amazing biking trails, fishing, boat rentals, and golf courses nearby. The location is perfect!!! It's secluded but conveniently located right off of US-23 in case you need to enjoy everything that East Tawas has to offer! Perfect location for a beautiful fall stay with Lumberman's Monument a short drive away! Take in all of the fall colors that Northern Michigan has to offer!

We stayed two nights to go look at fall colors and hike the near by trails. Location right on the water was beautiful. I could see summer time with a family being a blast here. Kitchen was well stocked. We did not use the basement or laundry room, however that would be great for a week stay with kids to spread out.

This was a wonderful location for our family and dog to stay. The home was beautiful and the beach was lovely as well. It is quite a hike to the beach but there was a handy wagon there for our stay that we used to take things out to the beach.

Birding Trip

Excellent property with plenty of space for 4 children, both inside and out. Perfect place to base a trip to all the nearby outdoor sites. Have stayed here before and would definitely come back.

Incredible Location and Beach

We recently stayed for 4 nights and could not have been happier with everything. The house was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with everything that was needed. The location is incredible, the beach was all sand which is hard to find on Lake Huron.

Perfect weekend getaway!

My mom, sister, and I have been taking our annual Fall trip to various Michigan locations for 10 years. This home is definitely at the top of the list of favorites! Loved the clean beach, amazing views, and dream kitchen. We had more than enough room and would love to return with our families. Thank you, Megan!

We enjoyed the home, property, location. Our only suggestion is to have chairs that are not all broken. The chairs on the deck are a little rough, not enough of them. Nice house

Great views

Plenty of room, great views! The cleaning crew should be fired. Also, the ticks were really bad at the fire pit. So, bring yard sprays. It would be a great improvement if the property owner hired a professional pest control company to spray the yard for ticks and the home for spiders.

Nice place for a family

We really liked this property. Great location, great beach and the house is very easy to live in. the only criticism I have is: the kitchen drawers are terrible. Some of them are impossible to push in once you open them (the silverware drawer is particularly bad) The stairs connecting the second and first floors are painted black. they are VERY hard to see in the dark. my wife actually took a fall on them because she could not see where the last step was. I would recommend painting them white Overall the place was clean, convenient, plenty of bathrooms, very nice washer and dryer.

Lake Huron Getaway

We loved the location - quiet neighborhood, beautiful view, very convenient. Overall it was a great place. We questioned the cleaning service. The King bed had only a fitted sheet that appeared slept on. We pulled it off and just remade the entire bed. There were no towels in the bathrooms, but maybe that's the way it is and of course we found them. No toilet paper in the downstairs bath. The glasses didn't look clean. All easy fixes. A strong gas smell was emitted when we tried to turn on the oven (we quickly turned it off). This is concerning! The communication with the host was easy and prompt.

Beautiful home on a private beach. Fall stay so no swimming, but the beach is a bonus! Kitchen well stocked. The back porch was great for morning sunrises and coffee. Had a wonderful time would definitely come back in the summer. The host was easy to communicate with. No issues during our stay.

We travel here to this home with a big group every year. We all have a blast. The yard is perfect for sports and for the kids to play, we are right on Lake Huron. The house is great to accommodate our group. The house has everything we need too, down to laundry and blankets. We can’t wait to come back again next year! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We prefer a quiet more peaceful vacation. Unfortunately, there was loud construction noise right close next door. Loud saws, large machinery moving and beeping loud when backing up. When I informed the host she said there was nothing she could do and out of her control and she would make note of it. It woke us up each morning and sitting on the deck was very loud. One day it was so loud me and my husband couldn’t hear each other talk. I took videos of how loud it was and sent them to the host. She said she was there last week and it wasn’t that loud. I sent videos it was very loud this week, I can’t speak for last week. She also said no one else complained and told me to go and enjoy the beach. Not once did she say she was sorry. As a host she was rude. I called VRBO and they understood and got the host, Vrbo and me on a call. She was argumentative and somehow got disconnected but never reached out to call me back. If she would have told me upfront about the construction noise and let me decide to book then that would be ok. Just a shame our vacation wasnt the peaceful and relaxing we wanted. Her listing says secluded it isn’t. We asked about if it was private and not many people and she said it was private, it isn’t. But we can deal with that but not the noise. The host was not sympathetic or said she was sorry once. Very disappointed.

A wonderful place!

The house was perfect for my family's get-together. The 8 of us had plenty of space and were very comfortable. And the beach that you just walk out onto is just lovely- very clean, soft sand, crystal clear water, and not many people. We loved it!
