About this property
Le Chat Perché - LA CHAPELLE DE GUINCHAY
Alain, retired winegrower & wise oenophile (who will be able to advise you) and Marie welcome you to an authentic winegrowers' residence dating from the 18th century, completely restored with care, located in the heart of a small rural "family" hamlet nestled in the very heart of the magnificent vineyards of Crus Chénas & Beaujolais-Villages (adjoining the famous Saint-Amour & Saint-Véran crus) 1.5 km from the charming shopping town of La Chapelle-de-Guinchay. Superb wine setting, nestled on a very large, well-exposed south-eastern plateau covered with vines, dominating the hillside of the Val de Saône facing the Alps & Jura range which appear in the background. In the countryside, in the heart of a magnificent setting & landscaped site, not far from a vast wild & preserved forest (for relaxing walks or mountain bike rides). Very comfortable cottage. Very spacious. Warm country feel. Pleasant & intimate panoramic garden "open" to the vineyards, carefully planted & flowered around a delightful albizia, with a shaded passageway under an arbor ("mini terrace" type). Magnificent unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside, the Alps & Mont-Blanc (on a clear day) and the Saône valley. Access to the property's swimming pool, located on site on the owners' garden side (4.5 x 9m). Composition: Gîte adjoining the owners' home (total independence). Wifi (fiber). Wood-fired central heating. Duplex gîte. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, TV lounge, 1 bedroom (double bed 140x190cm) with private bathroom (shower/Wc). 1st floor: 2 bedrooms (1 single bed 90x200cm + 1 single bed 90x190cm / 2 single beds 90x190cm which can be combined into a double bed 180x190cm), bathroom (shower), separate toilet. Quiet ceiling fans in each bedroom. Private garden + parking. Secure bicycle storage. Shared swimming pool (4.5 x 9m) in common with the owners open from June to September (access from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.). Amenities 1.5 km. Supermarket 2 km Superb wine-growing setting at the very southern tip of Burgundy! Authentic 18th century winegrowers' residence, completely restored with care - with a swimming pool shared with the owners - nestled in the very heart of the Cru Chénas & Beaujolais-Villages vineyards, 1.5 km from the charming typical village & trader of La Chapelle- de-Guinchay (many amenities on site including supermarket / rare village officially included in both the Beaujolais and Burgundy vineyards) & 15 km from Mâcon. In the heart of a small rural hamlet bordering the vineyards of the famous "Saint-Véran" cru, nestled in the countryside on a well-exposed plateau overlooking the Saône valley on the borders of the Mâconnais & the Haut Beaujolais mountains, in the extension of the sumptuous landscaped jewel close to the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled "Grand Site de France" (located 13 km away) & a vast wild forest massif. Privileged location on the routes of the Burgundy Wine Route & a referenced mountain bike circuit (connected to a vast marked "mountain bike area" criss-crossing the massif), close to many marked footpaths in "green walks" connected to the GR76 (meandering between vineyards & nature), 6 km from the Romanesque church circuit, 11 km from the greenway & a referenced "favorite cycling loop" of 17 km & 9 km from the EuroVélo17 cycle route along the Saône. At the crossroads of Rhône & Ain, Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Clunisois-Tournugeois (labeled "Country of Art and History") & Bresse de l'Ain, all rich in grandiose landscapes, a literally exceptional heritage such as world-renowned gastronomy. Ideally located for touring several departments (A6 & RCEA connection 11 km away): 4 km from Saint-Amour-Bellevue & its "starred" restaurants, 6 km from the Touroparc Zoo animal park, 11 km from the Mâcon TGV station Loché, 24 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 31 km from the famous abbey town of Cluny, 29 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 44 km from Bourg-en-Bresse, 47 km from La Clayette & 48 km from Turned. A perfect "pied à terre" of charm immersed in the hollow of the vines with a swimming pool as a bonus!
