Cool place to stay

This was a super cool place to stay. My father and I stayed the night to get up early to go fishing on the Cumberland. I definitely recommend staying here when in the area.

Amazing place to stay!

The Union Chapel Lodge was so nice to stay at. It was quiet, the amenities were fantastic! The kitchen was so nice to have with all the supplies already there. The room we had was so clean, there were also supplies in our room like floss which we had forgotten! Such an extremely nice place to stay! We had a wonderful time!

Great Stay

We enjoyed our weekend stay in Classroom 2! The rooms are super clean and have plenty of room for a family of four. This was my second time staying at the lodge, but the first time with my family. We received a warm welcome and the checking in and out process is super easy. I’ll be back!

So unique!

We were blown away by this place!!! It is sooooo cool!!! The building is so unique and our room was AMAZING! We stayed in a two bedroom that had everything we needed and then some! There were extra towels and toiletries and blankets. Each room had a separate air conditioner and tv. We were in town to visit family and told them that whenever anyone else comes to visit they need to stay here!!!

A True Gem of A Place

Words cannot describe how wonderful our stay was. Denise is a phenomenal host. We felt at home. There were plenty of things to do at the school itself and everything was impeccably clean. I encourage everyone looking into the area to stay here.

It was a wonderful, unique experience. Denise, the owner had great communication and was a lovely person. Our room was comfortable, clean and restful. The kitchen was a nice amenity so we could make a dinner. We loved everything about our stay there except for having to leave. We just wanted to move in, lol.

Very nice renovation, on the school, it’s more like a hotel stay with kitchen being outside of rooms and sharing with others but had everything you would want, will definitely stay there again if we are in the area!..

As teachers, we thought it was very cool to sleep in a school! Small blip at check in but easily rectified; the family who lives there/own this room rental was very lovely!

Everything was great, except

The only issue I had was that the AC didn’t go any lower than 76 degrees. Otherwise, it was a beautiful property and a comfortable stay.

Loved the elementary

As two retired school teachers we loved being in an elementary school. Check in was easy and our host, Denise, was friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and worked great. We used the coin laundry, and the kitchen, especially the large refrigerator nd the keriug. Will be returnibg soon we hope!

A++ Rural School with Modern Amenities

The absolute best VRBO experience! 5 stars all the way! If you want a rural elementary school experience with all the modern day amenities then - THIS IS IT! The hosts (Denise and Jim) were the most gracious and welcoming couple anyone could ask for! If you need to stay on the south end of Russell County for Lake Cumberland activities or vacation - this is by far the most accommodating in that area! Beautifully and tastefully renovated classrooms turn your stay into an oasis. Classroom 2 is perfect if your traveling with children, since there’s two rooms with 2 queen beds in one room and 1 queen bed in the other room. Modern kitchen amenities make it perfect for bringing your own food (since there aren’t many restaurants on the south end). Board games abound in the foyer for rainy lake days. Ample parking make bringing a boat easy with flat parking and easy road access. A true historical treasure and unique experience you don’t want to miss!
