We stayed in building 1 of the motel and it was perfectly situated off the main road around the west of the island. The motel is close enough to downtown to easily drive in but far enough to avoid the busy area, if you want a quieter stay. The room was very well maintained and really holds on to the vintage feel of the motel in all the right ways. The beautiful teal bathroom has a very classic feel. The rooms are very spacious, even with a king sized bed inside - we also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the outside seating. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!
Room was just as pictured. Check in was a breeze. The hotel is on the Island Express route, which is a free bus service that has multiple routes and gets you all over Bar Harbor. Did I mention it's free? Ordering the free breakfast was easy, and it was delivered hot and on time. The management team provided useful information and was readily available. Free snacks were also available, though we didn't get to try those. A couple of restaurants are within walking distance, but that free bus takes you downtown (and other places) where there are plenty more options. The room itself was nice and big. The bathroom was bit small, but they do provide shelves to lay your stuff out. Water pressure was great.Overall, we'd come back and stay here!
We had a great and easy time. The communication with the motel management was superb, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this motel for those wanting to be close to Bar Harbor and Acadia! Great stay.
We enjoyed are stay very much and will stay there again. Very close to Bar Harbor. They offered a shuttle to town if you didn’t want to drive in. We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning! Adam was a great property manager.
We stayed in Bar Harbor for our 20th anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the breakfast. The location was perfect between the NP and Bar Harbor. Adam’s communication was great!
We had an opportunity for a quick trip to see Acadia and this place was perfect. Close enough to Bar Harbor where we could eat and enjoy the scenery. Also close enough (only 4miles) to the park entrance which allowed us to do so much more. Breakfast daily (not some lame buffet with powdered eggs) good stuff made to order. Clean, quiet, and perfectly accommodating. Will stay here again.
This motel is perfect. The text and email communication is exceptional. It is an easy paved walk to downtown Bar Harbor and right at the entrance to Acadia. I am already planning my next visit to stay here!
Very comfortable room with modern, online check-in, housekeeping, and breakfast ordering system. Breakfasts were great, delivered exactly at the pre-scheduled time. Plenty of complimentary snacks and beverages located at main office. One slight drawback if you don't have a vehicle is the distance from downtown Bar Harbor - just over a mile, which is a bit of a walk but there is a very nice paved walkway the entire distance.
The property was in a great location easy to get to attractions either by walking or by the free bus services. The room was great, clean, and comfortable and the room service was excellent. We felt very well taken care of. Thank you.
So close to Acadia. So close to downtown without all the traffic and congestion! Quiet. I love ordering my breakfast on line, and such an extensive menu!
