About the host
Hosted by Michael Jones
My name is Michael and I will be your host during your stay at The Sunset Way. I love this property and purchased it in 2019. I have travelled extensively in my career and coming back to the lake has always felt like home and I wanted to share this experience with others. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Why they chose this property
I purchased this property in 2019 and fell in love with it's location. I grew up on the lake as a kid during the summer and yet I never knew how amazing this property was.
This property used to belong to a 200 acre hotel that unfortunately burned down in the early 1900's and was later subdivided in the 1960's. The entire area was a farm, and my property has remaining stone walls, rock foundations from a barn, and many wild apple trees. When I purchased it, there was only a small ATV trail from the road down to the lake and it was overgrown with weeds and muck. Since 2019, I installed a gravel driveway and parking area, removed all the overgrown trees so that the apple trees could thrive, and installed the campsite. The transformation has been amazing and I thoroughly love being on the lake. This lake is quiet, with mostly locals who own small lots and camps. There is a residential family of loons who you can hear calling to each other all night. That along with the waves lapping the rocks on the shore give to a very peaceful night.

What makes this property unique
This is a family friendly, no party kind of lake with 1 mile of shoreline that you can kayak around and explore. Please be respectful and stay off other camp's docks and rafts. There is excellent food nearby at Moose Look in Concord, Rileys Fish Shack in St. Johnsbury, Farm to Fire Pizza in Monroe, NH, Brewhouse and Taproom and Schillings Pizza and Beer in Littleton are all excellent. If you are headed south on I-93 on your way home, Polly's Pancakes in Sugar Hill have the best buckwheet, oatmeal, and cornbread pancakes in New England
