We absolutely loved staying at Stephanie and Adams place. From the house to the cows and donkeys, we loved every inch. Every detail in and out of this home was perfect. We would absolutely go back!! Loved meeting Stephanie and Adam, they are wonderful people.
The Highland Hideout felt like spending a weekend in heaven for us! The house was beautiful and so were the surroundings. Our daughters loved feeding the donkeys and the cows! The stars were beautiful, and the peace and quiet was just what we needed! Stephanie & Adam were wonderful host, and they house had everything we needed to be comfortable! We enjoyed exploring town and the local nature preserve, hiking trails and the lake. If you need a place to slow down and relax, look no further! This is the place! We will definitely be back!
This house is perfect, enough space for 5 of us to feel at home!
We enjoyed our stay, got to relax and spend some time together cooking and eating in the nice spacious kitchen and dining area. My parents traveled with us and my mom had no complaints! My 12 yo daughter loved the animals across the fence and enjoyed the perfect sitting area outside for making s’mores. Everything was perfect. Leaving was the hard part!
Highland Hideout is wonderful! My two teen-age sons and I stayed several nights while visiting with family in the area. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch in the morning and evening was so relaxing. Since the temperature was in the 80 to 100 degrees range our entire visit, it was too hot for us to use the fire pit. However, we checked it out and it looks like it would be an awesome place to sit and unwind on cooler evenings. Communication with the owner was easy and she responded very quickly. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highland Hideout and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.
Highland Hideaway is a slice of country heaven outside of Sulphur, OK. The house is comfortable, cozy and relaxing. The decor is farmhouse chic with personal touches (family hunting trophy and story are touching and funny)! Kitchen appliances are up to date and acommodate weekend travelers like us or long term travelers who need to cook and to do laundry while in residence. The beds and pillows are firm and comfortable. Bathrooms are designed to accommodate people who shower vs. people who takes baths. The outdoors is spectacular. So much to see - birds, wildflowers, deer, donkeys and cows during the day, and amazing star gazing at night. Again the host went the extra mile to construct a pavilion with party lights and fire pit in the area behind the house, and a comfy front porch with several rocking chairs to while away a morning sunrise or sunset.
We look forward to returning to Highlands Hideaway for another nature retreat.
My sisters and I took my mom down for a quick getaway. She loved how homey it was and said she was ready to move in! Lol
We had a very relaxing stay and the owners were very hospitable!
Beautiful property. The cattle are just wonderful to watch grazing. The house has everything you could need and more. The owners are really nice folks too. Whenever you’re out their way this is the place to stay. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Stephanie we loved it 💖
Really enjoyed staying here as it reminds me of my farm in Virginia. Nice and quiet, and the highlands are really friendly. For an escape from reality, I recommend this place.
Property is spacious & open. Kids can run around. 10 mins from retail. House was clean, and comfy.
Enjoyed our stay very much. Stephanie the Host was a great communicator. I would definitely stay herr again. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect place to get out of the city.
