Hathaways Cottage in Stratford, Ontario, is a one room B&B, located close to the downtown and theatres. Our Ontario Cottage style home was built is 1896, and features a loft on the back side of the house. Enjoy a quiet stay, our comfortable front porch, and our delicious breakfasts. Our B&B has been in operation for over 20 years. We look forward to meeting you and staying with us.

best Stratford get away

My granddaughter and I stayed at the delightful Hawthorne cottage for one night. The hostess and her family were so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding and our room perfectly appointed. I highly recommend it.

Overnight stay in Stratford

This was a great place for our overnight stay in Stratford. It was much nicer than staying in a hotel. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very spacious and beautifully kept. It was very clean. The breakfast was very good.We were able to walk to the downtown area and were just a few minute walk from the Avon Theatre.We would definitely book the room again.

Excellent Stratford Stay

A comfortable and convenient B&B with excellent hosts and great breakfasts. The home and property are beautifully maintained and the hosts very friendly and helpful. Our only note is the tight flight of steps up to our room on the second floor.

This was our second stay with Kevin & Rachelle. They are wonderful people and we really enjoyed our stay! The room is cute and comfortable and breakfast is fantastic! We’ll be back!

Amazing Hathaway Cottage

My sister and i stayed at the lovely Hathaway Cottage for 2 nights . We arrived as guests to the cottage and left feeling like family to our wonderful hosts, Racelle and Kevin. Thank you for a wonderful experince and for your warm and welcoming attention.

We enjoyed staying at Hathaway. Host met us for early check-in. Very good breakfast. Comfortable room. Stairs could be difficult for some. Lovely gardens. Easy walk to downtown, not a far walk to Festival. Would consider staying again.

For my parents Anniversary my dad took my mom to Stratford for some shows, her favorite. They stayed at this B&B and both of them have been raving about it since they returned home. The family was so kind and wonderful to talk with. The home was immaculately kept. The family dog was a pleasure to have around. The owners thought of everything! A cute delicious chocolate dessert, from a local shop, awaited them in the bedroom’s refrigerator. Definitely a place they’d come back to. They thoroughly enjoyed their time there.

The house was cozy and spotlessly clean, and the gardens around the house were gorgeous. Our hosts were so personable and attentive. The breakfasts were very tasty, and the presentation made us feel so special. The only thing that potential guests should know is that the staircase to the guest suite is very narrow and a bit steep. The elderly should know this before booking.

Rachelle and Kevin could not have been more hospitable. My dietary needs are a little complicated but Rachelle went out of her way to meet them. Our room was neat, clean and cozy and there was a nice big walk in closet. It is within walking distance to downtown. The garden is beautiful and the house is very tastefully decorated. We definitely would love to visit again.

Lovely Experience, very walkable!

I decided to take my 17-year-old daughter on a little weekend getaway, her first bed and breakfast experience. The room is well-appointed and we felt well looked after by our hosts. The breakfasts were fresh and delish. We would definitely recommend folks stay there who are looking for a quality b&b experience. The location was an easy, flat 10-15 minute walk from the Avon Theatre and lots of restaurants and boutiques.
