About this property

Mas Cévenol Isolé Dans un Oasis de Verdure

Come and enjoy an unforgettable experience at Mas les Horts, located at an elevation of 650 m, 3 km from the charming village of Aumessas and 1 km from the Col de Mouzoules.

After a few twists and turns through small hamlets and after crossing the Bavezon River, you’ll discover our Cévennes-style home at the end of the road, nestled in a lush setting of greenery, trees, and footbridges.

The house, renovated using eco-friendly materials (wood, hemp, lime, etc.), features various outdoor spaces. A shaded courtyard where you can enjoy breakfast in the first rays of the sun—sometimes with a squirrel watching—and grill your own lunch. In the garden, a terrace beneath a century-old mulberry tree offers a magnificent view of the valley and the Blandas plateau in the distance.

You’ll be staying in the main house, and we’ll be in a small cottage located above it. We’ll share access via a stone staircase.

The meadow and the paths around the house are perfect for strolling, daydreaming, writing, or relaxing in a hammock while listening to the birds.

We have animals: lambs and chickens below the house at a safe distance, as well as a dog and a cat that we’ll keep with us;

Depending on the season, you can enjoy vegetables from the garden or eggs from our chickens.

From the house, you can head to the river for a swim in some lovely pools when it’s hot! Hike up to the Caladon Hamlet (exceptional views) or explore the many trails around our property.

Whether on foot or by car, you can visit the village to explore it, enjoy its farmers’ market, musical performances, and dining options.

In the surrounding area, there are many picturesque little villages to explore. Le Vigan, 20 km away, offers shops, a market, and entertainment.

In the region, discover remarkable sites such as the Cirque de Navacelle, the Mont Aigoual observatory, and the Templar village of La Couvertoirade.
