We had a lovely time at this location and the owner was responsive. It's on a great location tucked away in a quite neighborhood great for a family getaway.
Excellent location to enjoy early morning coffee with the beautiful mountains of WNC. Well designed floor plan, furnishings/amenities well maintained, overall experience perfect.
House was as advertised and well kept. Quiet mornings on the huge back porch watching the horses in the neighboring field. Out of the way location but easy access to Asheville, highways, and Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommend.
Great location, a short drive from Asheville and a comfortable place to relax before and after trips into town. Views from the large back porch changed daily, and having the beautiful horses next door was a bonus. Corey, our host, quickly responded to any and all questions - very much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.
The Mountain House provided a great home base for our family gathering. We had 7 people ranging from age 12-80 and everyone had a great time. The house is well-stocked and just as described. Owners provide plenty of towels, soap, dish soap, and more so you don’t have to run to the store to get any basics. The management was quick to respond and make sure that everyone was happy with the house.
We loved Fairview and actually tried to find a house there to no avail. We loved the views from the back deck in the mornings with my coffee and listening to the myriad of bird songs.
The house and the location were fantastic. Loved the layout of the house, French doors led to the back deck which was huge and a great place to spend time visiting and enjoying the mountain view and the neighboring horses. Neighbors were very nice to talk to. The driveway is now paved and easy to maneuver in. The road to the house is a single lane but only once during the week did we ever encounter another vehicle. Highly recommend this house. Enjoyed our stay.
The house is exactly as it was listed. Very comfortable and clean. We were 6 in our group and there was enough space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked with food seasoning, and lots of utensils as well as pots and pans. The beds were great especially in the master's bedroom. The house is about 15-20 minutes away from Asheville, which is exactly what we wanted. Very quiet neighborhood and the back porch allows you to see the mountains (again, exactly what we want). Driving is easy and all paved road. Corey, the property manager, was always prompt in replying to texts and emails.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Remote with difficult access.
The house was clean and comfortable but sits at the top of a hill with a 45 degree grade-making casual walking difficult -if not impossible.
Great view from the back porch but the porch furnishings were painful
We reserved for two weeks, left after one.
Corey the property manager was very responsive!
A perfect property for a multigenerational gathering over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well equipped with plates, cutlery, cookery, and appliances. Comfortable bedrooms and beds, plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, etc.. A full-sized washer/dryer meant we could travel light. Quiet location with a deck overlooking a pasture with horses.. An easy 20 mins commute to downtown Asheville, 15
mins to Biltmore Village. Our host, Corey/BMI provided clear instructions and replied to questions within minutes. We would definitely book this property again.
We took a family girls' trip ranging in age from 23-77! House was as advertised with stunning views from the back porch (horses & mountains), fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, and the beds were comfortable. Only call out is the water pressure can be tricky with several ladies getting ready in the morning so just had to plan accordingly. Host was quick to respond to internet issue when we first arrived and checked in during our stay. The location is great and close to Asheville and all it has to offer. Would definitely consider for a future stay!
The view from the back porch is so gorgeous ! Fairview is only a 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville but most other places we went it took us 40 ( apple orchard in Hendersonville, Arboretum, Craggy Gardens, Chimney Rock). The house had everything we needed except a small/medium skillet and blankets. It got chilly at night and there were no extra blankets to put on the beds. Something to ask Corey about if you visit in the fall/winter. Maybe he will have these added. He was quick to answer a couple of questions we had about WiFi and the fireplace. Enjoyed our visit.
The house and the surrounding area were beautiful. We certainly did enjoy the back deck. However, the driveway was nothing at all like it was pictured on the Internet. The driveway sloped downwards, was covered in gravel which was on top of sand. When I pulled into the driveway and then tried to back out, my tired spun in the gravel and in the sand and I was stuck. I had to get cardboard out and put it behind my tires in order to back out of the driveway. from that point on we had to park up near the street.the gravel driveway also made it very difficult for walking as it was very uneven and the gravel made it slippery. I would definitely recommend a handrail at the front step as well as a better walking path. I would also recommend a grab bar on the shower in the hallway. We also were unable to watch TV as we could not connect to the Internet. It was a disappointment not to be able to watch the television. On the positive side the house is beautiful, it was clean and it was well stocked. However the difficulty that we had negotiating the driveway and having to park almost on the street certainly were very unpleasant situations.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cory's property. Cory was very responsive to my texts and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare all our meals. The view off the back porch was breathtaking. The beds were incredibly comfortable and all rooms were as described. The front landscaping of the house and garage could use some TLC as it does not do the house justice to what awaits you inside, but this is just a personal preference. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
Inside of house is beautiful but yard has not been mowed all year.
Inside of house is beautiful, clean and very accommodating. Location and view are great. If the yard had just been mowed it would have been perfect. Grass was a foot high and weeds are two feet high. I was afraid to let my 2 year old granddaughter play in the yard. Would also be better if the steep drive way was paved. We spent the weekend at Biltmore Estate so the location was perfect. Overall we did enjoy our stay. Thanks
The pictures posted do not do the view justice. The house was nice. Everything was clean. Close enough to everything, but far enough away. Our whole family had a great stay here. We hope to go back one day.
We headed north from Florida so the kids could play in the snow. The house was clean and cozy and had the perfect hill in the backyard for the kids to tube and sled on.
This was a perfect house to be able to visit with my family for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and lots of pots and pans for use. Really appreciated the time to spend with family.
We loved this property! Everything was great. The view was amazing. We appreciated the masks and hand sanitizers. The location was perfect - just minutes from Asheville and close to other fun towns. Thanks for everything.
