About this property
⛰️Secluded Modern Mountain Lodge w/ Mtn Views/ Game Room🕹️/Deck
The space A wonderful house in a beautiful setting. That’s likely to be your first impression of the Lazy Bear Lodge mountain retreat in Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado.
Set against a natural backdrop of a dense pine forest, this home offers 2,125 sq ft of space that’s all yours. It will give you peace, quiet and privacy on a scale few other homes in the area can offer.
As soon as you step inside, you’re sure to notice just how open, bright and roomy this place is. Lofted ceilings, multiple levels and the open plan concept deliver a spaciousness that guests appreciate.
LIVING ROOM AREA 1 Couches and an armchair give everyone space to sit together and chat, plan the next day’s activities or maybe watch the wall-mounted widescreen TV that gives you access to your favorite streaming services.
THE READING ROOM A few steps down from the first lounge space is a second living room with a couch and coffee table, offering another area in which to relax. If you’re seeking somewhere to finish that book you picked up at the airport, or just want to enjoy hearing the crack of the flames in the wood stove, you’re going to love this space and its modern reading chair
THE KITCHEN Here’s where all the culinary magic can happen during your stay. The cook in your group will enjoy having the best utensils and top appliances to work with. Prepping snacks and meals is a real pleasure in here, and there’s even a table and chairs at which you can enjoy your creations. The triple aspect views from this table are incredible, making it ideal for hosting meals to celebrate special occasions.
3 BEDROOMS The main bedroom is full of character and includes a queen bed and plenty of space for your belongings. Slide back the barn-style door to reveal your ensuite bathroom, with a whirlpool jet tub and shower.
The 2nd bedroom features another queen bed, a TV and workstation. This is somewhere in the house you can sit and get work done quietly.
Bedroom 3 is ideal for any children in your group as it features an always popular Amish log bunk bed. We’ll let you sort out who gets the top bunk on the first night. XL beanbags make for a plushy room.
2 BATHROOMS As well as the ensuite in the primary bedroom, there’s a second bathroom with a tub with shower. This room has the washer and dryer, handy to have as living the outdoor life can get clothes a little messy sometimes!
GAME ROOM This could very well prove to be the most popular room in the house. Three arcade machines have 20 games between them, including classics like Pac Man and Dig Dug. Who’ll set the highest scores during your stay? Away from screens, the poker table,12ft shuffleboard table, and selection of board games will keep everyone entertained. This area also has couches for relaxation and a work desk and chair, so if you’re here on business, this is another place to set up an office.
OUTSIDE SPACE A 600 sq ft deck gives you space to sit outside and enjoy panoramic views of the canyon and forest, maybe while enjoying a meal with your family. There’s a grill, outdoor cooler, and fire element in the table. Your backyard also features a treehouse that’s going to be popular with younger guests.
REMOTE WORKERS This is truly a remote location, great for getting work done in peace and quiet. And the lodge is served by fast wi-fi, so you can stay in touch with friends, family, clients, colleagues, whoever!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
The owners were responsive and easy to work with. The place was clean. However, the photos make it look a lot nicer than it really is. It really needs an update. Some furniture old and worn, needs a coat of paint everywhere. The game room is located in the loft upstairs and the stairs leading to the loft are very steep and narrow. Bath towels were small, thin and worn. Exterior area near the home needs to be cleaned up. Lots of junk laying around. The listing states it secluded, but it really isn’t. It’s located in a neighborhood with a home very close by.
Great place with fun amenities. The game room was perfect entertainment for the evenings. Everything you would need is available. Owner was great.
