I spent a month on the houseboat called “Salty Dog”. I had my 20 lb puppy, Tilly with me and a friend who is a professional pet sitter came and joined us a few times. Two things really impressed me. 1., the boat was superbly equipped as if ready for a long range voyage and 2. The neighbors were all Salties - creative, fun, and helpful. Proximity to everything from a grocery store , laundry and to a pub and a bunch of great local restaurants all within walking distance was great. Parking was easy and, despite the 3 hours max sign, parked there every night for a month and never got a ticket. The vibe was brilliant and the humor and funny decorations were very sweet. Kimberly and her husband were super responsive when we had a question. All in all a 5 star experience with a three star price!
Property was well maintained. Kimberly and Ryan made sure I knew how things worked on the houseboat that were different from a typical house on land. Great view of the Sausalito hills and harbors. Great Blue Herons and Egrets visited daily! Walking distance to shops, hardware, restaurants, Grocery, and library. Comfey bed and all appliances. Compact yet felt spacious with all of the windows and sunshine pouring in. Top notch communication and troubleshooting from the host. Five Stars

Why they chose this property
Very laid back boating community. Friendly, respectful neighbors. Great location to shops/restaurants. Beautiful newly renovated park next door with gazebo and bocce ball courts. Numerous hiking trails nearby in Marin Headlands and Mount Tam.
What makes this property unique
Living on a houseboat is a unique experience. Calming gentle sway of the boat, sounds of nature(birds, sea lions). Amazing views of the bay and mountains!!! Due to Sausalito ordinances houseboat must be rented for a minimum of thirty days.
