The old royal town of Kolding is now a modern shopping town with a lively and charming city center. The town is home to the Koldinghus, which houses precious medieval art treasures, and changing special exhibitions of high quality are also popular with many art enthusiasts here. In the Trapholt Art Museum you can admire one of the most important collections of modern Danish paintings and also an interesting collection of Danish furniture classics. A visit to Den Geografiske Have can be highly recommended, the garden contains a variety of roses and dahlias, spice and medicinal herb gardens and rare trees and shrubs. Kolding is also home to Kolding Storcenter, the largest shopping center in Denmark. Christiansfeld is an architectural gem with its straight streets, lovely buildings and a uniquely beautiful church square. The town is also famous for its original and excellent honey cakes. In Haderslev, be sure to visit the cathedral church, and be enchanted as you stroll through the carefully renovated narrow streets with crooked houses. The paddle steamer 'Helene' will take you on a lovely trip across Haderslev Fjord to the island of Årø. You will find especially family-friendly amusements at Legoland in Billund.

In Haderslev, a visit to the city cathedral is a must, as is a stroll through the narrow streets which are flanked by crooked, well-preserved houses. Also popular is a trip on the paddle steamer 'Helene' which plies its trade on the Haderslev Fjord between the mainland and the island of Årø. Furthermore, plenty of family-friendly amusements and attractions can be found at Legoland by the town of Billund, and the Sommerland Syd amusement park at Tinglev.
