About this property

Our Sweet Carol Lane home here on Martha's Vineyard is in a quiet neighborhood just over one mile away from the heart of Oak Bluffs, close to the colorful gingerbread cottages, the flying horses carousel, Inkwell beach and plenty of food and drink options. Close to the bike path and public transit, you can easily explore the island. Or spend the day at State Beach (only 2.5 miles away) then come back home to rinse off in the outdoor shower, grill, and have drinks on the patio. Families can enjoy peace of mind while the kids play on the playhouse in the fenced in yard.

Our home sleeps 6 comfortably with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and open living room. We’ve updated the beds with new super comfy memory foam mattresses. The master bedroom has a private bathroom while the other two bedrooms share the main bathroom which includes a washer/dryer. The kitchen is stocked with complimentary coffee and tea and a few tasty treats and beverages to get you started including a dozen eggs from our neighboring chickens. You can relax in the living room, the smart tv allows access to your Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime channels. If you need to get some work done while you're away, there is high speed internet. Or spend your time outside either on the covered patio, grilling your catch of the day on our gas grill or gathered around the fire pit in the fenced in yard. There is a playhouse and sand pit for the kids to enjoy! Also an outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. (We provide beach towels so you don’t have to pack one!) The driveway provides space for three vehicles.

After Memorial day, there is a seven day minimum. Saturday to Saturday only.

It is important to us that our home stays an Allergy Free Zone. No pets are allowed. No smoking or vaping both inside or outside on the property. Violations of these policies will result in the loss of your security deposit. Thank you in advance for helping us make our home safe for for your stay and for future guests!

Other things to note: We recommend that our guests consider travel insurance. We do have a strict cancellation policy and on rare occasion the boats are cancelled because of high winds.

Lovely Stay

We loved staying at Sweet-Carol-Lane. Brenda was an excellent host. There were so many lovely touches when we arrived, chocolates on the pillows, Eggs in the Fridge and Robes in the closets. We would absolutely stay there again!

Rogerio and I are happy to welcome you to our home. Rogerio grew up in Southern Brazil and I grew up in New England and we have been here on Martha's Vineyard for over 20 years. We have spent the last 20 years working as caretakers with vacation rentals, landscaping and commercial cleaning. We speak both Portuguese and English. If you have any issues while visiting, we are located next door and happy to assist.

We purchased this property with the goal of using this as our retirement business. We love the island and wanted to be able to provide a beautiful, comfortable home for visitors.

What makes this property unique

One of our favorite aspects of this property is the big yard. The yard includes a swingset/sand box for kids, a fire pit, a picnic table, and spacious outdoor shower and a fenced-in yard. All perfect for families looking to getaway.
