Nicely appointed apartment with a downstairs master bedroom and bath convenient to Port Royal, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens and much more.

Great location, apartment needs some work
The area near the apartment was fantastic, with great restaurants, cafes and metro station nearby.
The apartment was a bit quirky and the ground floor area felt like a converted shop. There are some improvements needed: there was a large crack in the front window and the balusters/railing posts around the stairs were loose. Also, the stairs to the bathroom and lower bedroom were like a ladder.
It’s a good place for those without young kids.

Didn’t get what we paid for
It appears as though this property was a store before being converted into accommodations - the setup is odd to say the least. This property is not for anyone who has mobility issues. The only bathroom is down a set of stairs that is more like a ladder - difficult to get up and down. The only tv is in the downstairs bedroom, which makes watching together impossible. The couch was filthy - didn’t want to sit on it. The dishwasher didn’t work. The washing machine flooded the upstairs in the middle of the night. The shower flooded on the second day. It was nothing but issues from day 1. I would not recommend.
This rental is converted from an old store, which generally speaking is not an issue, but what the listing does not show or speak to is the fact that one of the “bedrooms” is the front foyer. As soon as you open the wall to wall glass storefront door, a futon bed is there. There were no bedsheets on the bed. The floors and overall space were very dirty. The location of the rental is fantastic; it’s close to the metro and tons of bars and restaurants. This has to be a place for you only to sleep… it’s not anywhere you’d want to spend more time than necessary. It smelled terribly like cigarettes. There are no utensils at all. The towels were gross. Our toilet paper on the train was better quality. The “stairs” down to the bathroom in the basement and the second bedroom are more of a ladder and a terrible ladder at that. You can’t be elderly or have children or any mobility issues to stay here. You also can’t have 1 too many cocktails. It’s dangerous. This place is quite literally only good for its location and nothing else.
This property was a lifeboat for us in that our previous reservation cancelled leaving us having to find a place for 6 adults in Paris on short notice that wasn't going to bankrupt us. This property met those needs. However, please note the following before booking. This is a converted shop space that was previously a Pizzaria, or so our French family members told us. What this means is that you are opening a plate glass shop door right into one of the bedrooms and the lock is at the bottom of the door. We kept the key in the lock just in case we needed to exit quickly! The space has been converted in a haphazard manner and a number of items are clearly in need of repair, e.g. the Fawcett in the kitchen, and the wooden stair railings. Speaking of the stairs, I would consider them hazardous as they are very steep and almost like single steps. Another review describes them as like a ladder, which isn't quite accurate, but for a very young child or someone with any mobility issues they present quite a challenge. You also have to use them as the bathroom is in the basement, hence stair use is absolutely necessary. The basement is also where the largest bedroom is located, and the space is interesting given it looks like you are in a limestone cave. However, the smell of mold is pervasive, and the bathroom had actual mold on the shower walls. We called and were told someone would be right over to clean, but that didn't happen. In short, place to sleep, but not a place to hang out!
