Beautiful cottage on Canal leading to Lake Freeman. Three bedroom, two bathroom cottage, sleeps 10. Also, walkout basement leads to pier where you can tie up your boat or go fishing. There is a firepit just bring some wood and have a Weiner roast. Bring your own boat to dock at the pier and enjoy the lake. Bonus is a two story four season sunroom over looking the canal. Relax and unwind. All updated stainless steel appliances, Jukebox, board games. Also, plenty of dishes for cooking with a Crockpot, casserole dishes, cookie pan, etc.
If you want to venture out here is some ideas..... Madam Carroll, Kopacetic Brewery and Sportsman Inn Restaurant only 2.6 miles, Oakdale Bar and Grill 3.8 miles, Whyte Horse Winery 3.5 miles, Indiana Beach 8.4 miles, Purdue University 22 miles.

Beautiful house on the waterfront

Great family vacay

The house was great! It was on a small canal that lead to the river. The kids fished and swam. The paddleboat provided was so much fun! The house has 2 levels. The kids watched VCR movies downstairs while the adults hung out upstairs. There was a great selection of family friendly movies. The Jukebox was also a big hit. We built fires in the evening and enjoyed the great outdoor area. It was very close to Whyte Horse winery where they have amazing wine slushies. I would highly recommend staying here. Karen and Wayne were great hosts!!

Our “Home between Homes”

We relocated to the area and stayed at the Cottage for 5 weeks while we looked/closed on our new home. This house worked out so well for us. We primarily used the upstairs, as that was all we really needed. We have small children, so we used the Dutch door to the lower level as a “baby gate”. The “sun room” with all the windows made for a beautiful place to have your coffee in the morning. We were very thankful to have found this place. we’ll be back in the summer to us to take in the lake life!

Quiet getaway

The house is very nice, spacious, and kitchen was well-equipped for families that want to enjoy cooking together! The host, Karen, was very accommodating and made us feel "at home"! There was a bit of an odor which may have been from cigarette smoke, but property is clearly marked "non-smoking". I can only hope that guests would respect the owners rules. We would certainly stay there again:)

We are exciting to host guests to our VRBO. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do. We have been lived in the areal since 1977 and raised our family enjoying the lake and community. It is a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the local restaurants, breweries, wineries and Indiana Beach.

Why they chose this property

This is an adorable home with plenty of room. Two story with 3 bedrooms, main bedroom queen bed, blue bedroom queen bed, red bedroom trundle bed two twin beds, full bath, living room, kitchen, sunroom with deck on main floor. Walkout basement has TV/Movie area, game area, mini kitchen, full bath, laundry and sunroom which leads to grill and firepit area along with dock for fishing and your boat. There is a paddleboat for you to explore the canal.

What makes this property unique

We have a paddle boat to enjoy the waterway, dock for mooring your boat and boat lift. life jackets are provided for paddle boat. You will find beach towels for your convenience. Enjoy the firepit as you fish.
